Simple question after being away in 8.2 im returning on my main hunter and i wish to do mythic+ and a bit of raiding.
I will keep leatherworking as profession for the two pieces of BoP gear.
As for the other profession im undecided between alchemy and engineering which one will give me more utility as far as content progress goes?
Engineering, but if money is tight alchemy works
Engineering will give me a helm and lots of utility, alchemy a trinket and double flask duration. But are flask really that expensive to justify choosing alchemy over engineering?
Not really, i’d go for engineering if you can afford flask in other words x)

Engineering/alchemy here. A very useful combination. Leatherworking is worthless. The perks from Engi/alch is superior, you will eventually replace the leatherworking stuff. But the above combo its keeps its usefulness.
well hunter hunts animals and live on the pray giveing ressorses on leather and the meat so leatherworking fits class fantasy/lore better.
If ur fresh 120 hunter u can easly craft ur self a full set of 400 armor and bow
afther that you craft ur self a 440 armor and bow then to end craft 470 armor and bow does not need to bother with mystic or anything raid nonsense.
leatherworking gives skins for every mod u kills alchemy or energeering u need ore/herbs what u have to fight for with other players.
leatherworking is so less effort and making gearing up so muth easyer.
(even for ur alts)
Just do all daily quest in all 10 BFA zones skin everything u can and u alweys do progress 
Engineering certainly has more utility and fun items than Alchemy and it also gives you access to a pretty good Azerite helm.
Alchemy gives you a good source of gold providing you can supply it with herbs and you get 2 hour flasks instead of 1. The trinket you can make with it is pretty useful IF you have nothing else stronger but its pretty easy to replace in mythic+
So it really comes down to that…
sey shaman i like leater work relly usefull for lot reason cen craft gear right stats on it get gem sloth in it for 100 procent
