If youre referring to the 10 man version (since you write 10 strangers) then just 3 heal it. Boss becomes super easy at that point.
Algalon is perfectly fine. When people know what to do and have appropriate gear, he flops over like a wet noodle, he’s a joke.
It stills a fun and engaging fight, the moment they nerf it… Will be just sad for Ulduar content.
The fight is ok in general but i feel tank damage is too much still. You cant have 4700-4800 prot warr getting obliterated in 10man even with trinkets up. And it’s usually the fury warrior who just respecs for the fight so you know his gear might not be optimized (expertise etc), so maybe it’s that. Not to speak for dk offtanks which is worse. About the healers i dont know a lot but i would say if u dont bring a holy pala, you are essentially griefing your own raid. Would like to see detailed statistics on class participation.
It’s 100% fine without a Holy Pala as long as you 3 heal it. Even 2 healing is possible but very rough and you need overgeared tanks for it. From my last tries, it was close to impossible in my group with Rdruid+Dpriest and our Enha had to switch to Resto (after that we cleared it on the first try without any problems) but our second group runs Rsham+Dpriest and clear Algy just fine.
Have dps and healers use Resistance Flasks and prepot Mighty Shadow Protection potion. This helps a ton.
So that other group has better players healing.
If you have a disc priest in the raid, there is really no point for a Shadow Protection potion prepot, it is actually better not to use it because you mess up the 1st Rapture proc for the Disc priest.
Algalon is not that hard atm.
