Algorithm rigging

This has happened to me on 4 different toons over the course of two months now, i’ll have a bunch of good games with competent locked in people, go up to within 10 rating of a breakpoint, 1800 or whatever, then i will be forcefed complete waste of space teams, people arguing in chat, throwing, 200-1500 losses for 10-15 games, then it will turn around and give me good teammates again and it’s smooth sailing

This can not be “random”, four different alts, the EXACT same pattern on every single one. Is this some kind of hard coded retention mechanic? Some way to squeeze more potential game time out of people? It is very much a noticeable pattern.

I had 9 loss in a row following last one with dc losing 200 rating ;'(
Maybe its just me who knows

At least you actually got some wins lol i’v had 8-10 losses in a row the last few sessions i’v played. Guess i need to find a buddy to duo up with…in ‘solo’ BG blitz

you get in your own head and probably soft throw.

there is absolutely zero difference between 1740, 1800 and 1840. they’re all played at the exact same MMR range with the exact same players.

if you could hide your MMR and rating from yourself you’d notice entirely different patterns.

It somewhat works that way, but not in the way you think. There is no “conspiracy script” that throws you into losing games, because there is zero way for the game to determine the outcome of a game before it starts.
What happens is your mmr increases by a lot every consecutive win, and the game considers the TEAM mmr when it does the matchmaking.
So if you are 2k mmr, some other dudes 1.900, and the rest are 1.7, you will get an avergae of about 1850 mmr. The game expects YOU, the high mmr player, to be better then your teammates and carry the game.
It also works the other way around, you sometimes get 2.1k+ mmr teammates, that are expected to carry you against lets say a 1950mmr team.
It works like this because finding 16 people of the EXACT same mmr would make queues insanely long.
