Hey any help on why my laptop overheats so much when i play wow. I can set the
graphic settings to 4 5 without lag but then the noise starts and it feels like i should close the game again. I try turning the graphics down to 2-3 but even then it overheats alot and happens when i use the browser too.
I have a alienware mx14x r2 2.4ghz 8gb ram would it help if i upgraded ram from 8 to 16?? not the biggest geek so any advice would help
You need to clean dust from your computer and add thermal composite to processor. Ram-upgrade won’t help.

Just read the reviewed spec & the 2GB graphics are underpowered for modern WoW; given the review was dated 2012, I’d say that it’s time for a new machine…

Would be an idea to buy one of those laptop coolers that you put the laptop on that would blow cool air into the intake slots to see if that will fix the problem. They usually are powered by a spare USB socket.
