So this has been done in other games but the idea is you can opt to have all your characters linked so when you join a guild you join it with all the chars on that realm and maybe allow them to share bank if there is room
I can only think of BDO which has done that and for that I believe you need to have server infrastructure that needs to support it .which could proof pretty costly to change everything
I wouldn’t want to have characters forced into a guild just because they belong to the same players - plenty of people have multiple guilds.
I do think communities should be per account, not per character, because you can join multiple anyway. And a shared reagent bank would be very, very nice - but only if it is very, very large and actually broken up in the UI to show different expansions and types of material.
Gw2 does also. You can join 5 guilds on a account and actively represent them on any char and yoy can untick them to not represent them on certain characters.
But everything in gw2 is account registered
While they are at it can we have family names for all characters on a server. This would give more choices for naming, SWTOR do it.
i have only 80 char on 1 same realm
GW2 and BDO were built with that in mind.
Not saying WoW should, was just saying they were the few games i knew with such a system. But they also far younger then WoW which is likely why
This would be my concern too, I prefer just joining a guild on my main and leaving my alts in my bank guild where they can share the guild bank.
Different reason to you but same issue.
