All mounts account-wide!

MAKE GLADIATOR MOUNTS ACCOUNT-WIDE! Now that you even make reputation items/mogs account-wide I think its fair to do the same with gladiator mounts… Some may say that it takes away from the character immersion or that you might not have been able to get glad on another class… When it comes to the immersion part of the character, after all the changes like transmog, acc-wide mounts(beside glad) and now reputation locked items becoming acc-wide, this is not valid argument anymore… Most of the people that get gladiator have the skills to get it on almost whichever class they want. In my eyes its the same as someone doing high end mythic raiding and getting a mount from there. They got it because they have skills in that part of the game, but for those that get mount from say mythic raiding will have those mounts on all characters. But those that reach gladiator will have their mount locked to that character… I WISH you would change this, so that I can use my mount on whichever character I want.
Are there other people that feel the same, or am I the only one? :<

No. :slightly_smiling_face:

Well that’s a constructive answer and explanation.

My opinion is actually in agreement with OP, if you earned a mount on one character it’s still YOU that earned that mount and there are a lot of PvE mounts (curve examples, such as Kor’kron warwolf) that are account-wide so it totally contradicts the PvP side of rewards.

I can’t see the logic with it being reverse for PvP.

Fair point…

Only non-shareable Mounts should really be Class ones - DK/Paladin/Warlock ones - and profession ones… Legion Class Mounts are a different kettle of fish, I guess. Then there’s the Garrison ones… ugh; this got ugly.

If Blizz. were to lock Curve Mounts, why not unlock them if additional characters get the same clear within the life of the Expansion… and maybe there’s scope for ‘releasing’ locked Curve mounts to those who somehow later clear the correct difficulty after the Expansion ends, but only if it’s been earned in the first place.

Well pvp needs more skill
pve is about do what DBM is telling you and have gear.

sure its still YOU that got the glad mount but you might not get glad with a different class because u cant play it.

But if you are talking about BFA yea sure i dont think anyone cares about BFA glad.

Sure, you might need more skill for glad. Views on this may differ from person to person. But ALOT of people that reach glad on 1 character/class will obtain glad on other classes… If you play on high rating you have a fair amount of mechanical skills, you need to be observant and mindful about how the other players you face play so you can win the game(+various other factors like communication). These skills are not lost as you start to play a new class! And since you have faced countless high en players that play the same class as you are now starting to play you have good insight in how you should play it to do well!

yes and no.
R1 players have for sure no problems getting glad with all characters.
But the difference between glad and r1 is super big.

even nowdays in BFA glad doesnt seem special but there are still alooot of players that struggle at 2.4 while playing broken specs /comps and have 1k+ games.
they wouldnt even reach that rating with a different class so easy or ever.

Yes, there is a big difference between rank 1 and glad. But If you look back at the previous seasons 2.4k was dualist…
So, your reason for not wanting glad mounts acc-wide is that it is harder to acquire and therefore it should be locked to the char you obtain it on?
What about pvp-enchants? Enchanter’s Illusion - Demonic Tyranny required you to have 2.4k rating in 3s or rbg to learn it. But once you have it you can use it on all chars(I know that a enchant vs a mount are two totally different things)… I just dont get why they allow some things to sneak through and block other things…

if you are a gladiator at X class u should have a gladiator mount at X class. i dont see a reason to have a gladiator mount at Y if i cant even play this class at gladiator rating.

its like why cant i use my priest class mount on my shaman well im not a priest. simple.

IF blizz would follow your logic then you might as well keep everything locked to 1 character then right? If you get 100 exalted rep those should be locked to that char, all tmog you obtain should only be usable on the char you obtain it on? It used to be like that…But since it seems like everything is going in a direction where everything is shared account-wide I dont see why this should be an exception. And you said getting high rating in arena i.e glad, rank 1 was harder then pushing high end mythic, how do you know? Have you obtained gladiator or any server first kills? I am not saying that either is harder then the other, but I am curious and it seems like you have good experience in both pvp and pve.

getting 100 factions to exalted isnt skill its just time
i dont think you understand the difference between being good at something and something thats time consuming

u dont even need to be smart to realize whats harder.
pve is always the same doesnt matter if you do dungeons or raids-
phase 1 phase 2 etc its always the same and people still use DBM so they know if they need to move or not or w/e.

while playing arena is different and everything can happen there is no yea p1 we do this p2 we do that.

I do understand the difference… But with all respect, how can YOU say that anything is harder then the other when you barely have 2k arena achiv and done almost no mythic raiding? In bfa sets are divided into cloth, leather, mail and plate. So if you get elite gear on plate, you can use it on all plate chars you have. If you get glad tabard, you can transmog it on any char you have, same goes for the enchant… What about scarab lord title and the Black Qiraji Battle Tank, one of the hardest tasks to undertake in the game(no longer obtainable). You can use both mount and title on all chars if I am not mistaken. Shouldn’t they be character locked? The immersion part when it comes to character specific game items are almost gone, when they have come this far, they should just change it so those who actually have glad mounts can use them on the characters they want!

I lost interest in pvp since late mop its not funny or really rewarding anymore i dont see a reason to try pushing for glad and get a mount that everyone can get by just playing the game and being decent not even actually good.

Barely 2k? no exactly 2k on my priest with lfg 2 or 3 days after i hit 110 and got some gear and i had no problems at all.
Like on this shaman i dont care about pvp anymore just if i like the tmog i just play to that rating and done.

Yea i never did mythic raiding for me its kinda boring and i dont see a reason either if you can get the same gear on every other corner whats the point of it?

i understand what you say and i really have no problems if they keep the
current pvp system and let glad mounts be acc-wide because it isnt
something special.
But not the old once where u had to get like 2.7+cr for glad.

2.4 is a joke for pvp u dont need to be good u can just play alot and u get it.

Mythic raiding is not that easy… Why do people keep spitting this bS thinking DBM holds your hand? You want to know what hand holding is? Addons in arena omnibar and Gladius especially in Legion .

Oooh that guy poped a cd let me pop a defensive CD,rinse and repeat untill you lose. Seriously it takes 10x more to be top 100 mythic guilds clear than a glad if you can compare them in any way. And last time i checked whatver you earned in mythic is on all chars.

This is just restriction without any logic behind it,if you earn your Glad mount on a char then you can use it on all, it’s you after all. Or did you never linked your xp from your main while playing an alt? I guessed as much…

My thoughts exactly!

So stupid to say something like that… You make it sound like it’s super easy to get glad, still you have not even been close to achieving it… Not really fair to those who play and grind arena to reach high rating. Same could be said when it comes to your statement about mythic raiding… You could get good gear from lfr and mythic +, but if you complete harder content you will be rewarded with a lot more gear + it has higher ilvl. But yeh, I could be the king of England if I just put some work in, it’s not really that hard… But I have lost the interest in doing that since the power of the monarki are slowly diminishing xD
