Since I resubbed a week back, I’ve been able to play a total of maybe 3 hours because of addons being broken. I spent the better part of a day setting everything up again. Today I was going to start wow and there was a shortcut “burning crusade classic” which i’ve never played in my life or installed. So, naturally I selected uninstall. Well, turns out that uninstalled wow. I had to redownload and install the whole thing. Now all addons and addon settings are gone.
How can I get this back without wasting 12 hours or so again of my precious time?
And inb4 “mimimi blizzard are not responsible for addons because its not made by them!” yeah nah, first of all this problem happened because of an issue with their client, secondly the game is unplayable without addons (which blizzard are well aware which is why they did their pathetic attempt to revamp the ui just recently) and so there for they should make it so all settings & addon settings are stored in cloud, it’s their responsibility.
Depending on what addon manager you use, you might be able to reinstall the addons as long as you don’t tell it to re-sync with the client. (If you re-sync, it will remove all your addons from its database because they’re not on your computer.)
