All servers become PvE = No reason to play

When Sod ended, me and my friends we are going to MoP and choose Gehennas PvP server. I think it was a good idea to play alliance on 99% horde pop realm, and it was !

Now you want to merge all realms into one PvE megaserver, instead of make separeted PvP and PvE realm with good faction balance…

You scared away most of the PvP community, who didn’t want to play on server with bad faction balance. Not everyone is ready to play on a mono faction realm with dead AH at least.

Another lazy move blizzard. So now its now reason for me to play this anymore…

Wait for timeless isle and buy a toy that is going to make you hostile to everyone.

If the removal of what is left of world PvP leaves you with no reason to play, it means you have been playing the wrong type of game to begin with

Ah yes Seal Team Six and Super Serious PVP Guild, ganking either lowbies or afk/half-afk max levels at hubs, or exploiting the terrain in Orgrimmar AH to stay LoS. The prime candidates of world “PvP”

Sick montage, those mostly AFK players stood no chance to you you are such a great player!

Censer on a PvE realm is entirely opt-in unfortunately, you can only attack or be attacked by people who have enabled PvP.

At this point I’m starting to think that Blizzard is neglecting classic community on purpose.

Blizzard: lets make classic wow at as low cost and effort as possible, don’t waste your time (developers) on fixing bugs and caring for the community. Milk the players as much as you can through paid stuff such as overpriced transfers, boosts etc and then after some time shut the whole thing and tell them to play retail.

I dont think you need to panic just yet. They will probably make a single pvp realm as well with all the bells and whistles.

Perhaps…

Im played OG mop and know what is it, but its impossible on PvE boring server.

Ah yes just another cringe ST6 hater.

Where did you see AFK players on video?
If you been ganked with “no chance” its not my problem.

They already said, that only “Grobbulus NA” stay PvP and all EU realms became PVE.

Hardstuck 1500 to get welfare pvp gear to have an advantage vs afks. No one cares or will notice if you quit.

Cool story boi, this is why mop dying and they shoud merge all in one server.

It was… for how much players? For 0,1%? Sorry but games are always designed for 99,9% players, not for 0,1%.

However i support also an option to transfer to some PvP server for people who want it (same as grobbulus in the US), but i don’t think that it will be very populated compared to main mega-realm

its about choice and they ultimately dont give players a choice but stick to pve

its a bad decision and doesnt serve any purpose. they could merge all pvp realms and let it be pvp and faction balance it like sod.

If you enter the open world, there is a chance that you kill or get killed. That’s the game.

PVP realms is the way to go, and there isn’t really any counter argument to it.

No. People showed that they don’t really want to play on PvP realm, because all of those transfers that made realms mono-faction, were community-driven. People showed that they dont really need world PvP. I think, they can make OPTIONAL PvP mega-server for people who want play PvP (same as they said about grobbulus in US), but still give a choice between PvP and PvE servers (i am sure most people will pick PvE, because Gehennas/Firemaw are de-facto PvE)

It has nothing to do with people not wanting PVP, the reason people flock up in masses is because it brings better PVE (Raid) options.

people forget that pvp server doesnt mean = world pvp either. pvp servers exist to have people flock there who are interested in doing rated pvp with people that love to pvp. you wouldnt find those on pve servers. its about like minded folks just how people roll on rp servers for similar reason.

The only reason Gehennas and Firemaw have population in the first place is because in vanilla r14 gear was bis. I played Firemaw during TBC where it had a 50/50 split for the first phase and more and more people were quitting or transferring off. I was there for Sunwell when it was 70% Ally/30% Horde and decreasing each week. The only time muh wpvp happened was either killing people out front of the raid or that one prick playing a rogue in pvp gear griefing people doing the dailies. That experience of 2004-2009 is never coming back. Wow is much more streamlined now in what people like to do with their time. These people are an extreme minority and griefing is the only reason they care about wpvp.
