I hope that whatever it is they fix it. I just got through the entry quests and got booted out to a black character screen and no way to select anything and enter world. Kinda poo when i just subbed like an hour before.
Because the topic had been answered by Punyelf already. We were informed this would happen. I was surprised as well, however the blame was on me since it was visible in the launcher as well as the character selection screen.
That means a lot coming from Night Fae, Vulpera, Hunter. This is such low hanging fruit it’s berries. Try harder!

You even extended yourself creatively and named your Vulpera, Vulpie. This is Mozzart level naming. I can just imagine the level of individuality you have as a person. Clearly one in a million.

And what about players who were already logged in before the launcher announcement?
They only get a warning 15 mins before shutdown.
Hell, if you only have a guild/party chat window open you get NO warning whatsoever.
So before you try to act smart again, you might want to actually know what you’re talking about.

I do think it would be nice if it was a message as you logged in about maintenance, I realise some would still miss it but it would be a handy little extra.
Or some pop up when the news hits the launcher.

By the announcement being there for probably way longer than “Just before”. A thread like this popped up during a previous non wednesday maintenance as well and that time the warning was there for several days. So im safe to assume that this wasnt any different

they could also announce it an hour before restart instead of 15 minutes. I was looking for m+ group and I noticed 15 minutes notice. Kinda yikes to lose a key cause of that
