All these druids mining and herbing

This is insane, Hundreds of druids on every possible ore and herb farming path with gibberish names making it impossible to farm as a real player.

Last night I stood at a mining node spot on a popular loop for a few minutes. The node would spawn and within seconds you would have about 5 people on it, it could spawn next to you while fighting a mob and you wouldn’t have time to mine it.

Also, there seems to be some hyperspawn going on because I saw elementium instantly respawn a few times in a row followed by a pyrite, 4 nodes on the same spawn within 15 seconds.

Hyperspawns + hundreds of bots = Miserable to mine as a legit player but at least the ore will be worthless in 3 weeks.

It’s called bots and that was what all those poeple wanted who cried out “oh , my server is dead, merge everything into huge megaservers!”

There are so, so many bots on certain zones like hellfire peninsula…
I couldn’t even get my mining leveled up to 375 before hitting lvl 70, as soon as ore spawns there’s going to be a bot there within 10-20 seconds usually so you need to be really fast to get anything…

Bots :stuck_out_tongue: Blizzard should just block the nations they operate out of and only allow in on special permission

Bots will never ever be “fixed” because every bot is generating money for bli$$.

let me teach u something: DM them and ask them 2 3 questions , if u got related answers , it means that they are normal players if not report them!
there! u r useful now and found a bot!
actions will be taken!

And yet Chinese Gold Farmers existed ever since TBC at the earliest. Now they’re replaced by automation but hey, someone has to save time for all the players who have no time to play but want to pay out their way through all the services provided by others.

Respawn rate for mobs in cata classic is rather fast.

A named quest mob that i needed to kill has one or two others with it. I kill the named then get to work on the ads but got hit with the named mob again. That was hard.

They need to tone done the spawn rate ever so slightly

Blizzard wont do a thing about bots. They are in bed with the people who run the bots.

I would not be surprised if blizzard is actually running bots themselves to limit resources and to force token sales/RMT/microtransactions.

The ban waves that comes…everything three months are only there so they can say they are doing something about it. They know who the bots ae. They can ban them quickly. They choose not to. They want to give the person time to earn lots of gold before they ban them so they will buy another account. Rinse and repeat.

The issue with this is it isn’t consistent, there are some named mobs that have literal 5 man groups forming and waiting minutes to fight over the tag, while other mobs instantly respawn. Mining nodes also sometimes instant respawn.

I think it just isn’t calibrated very well and no work has been done on any individual elements, the game is mostly just a straight port with many issues or bugs.

From my understanding the respawn rate really depends on number of players in the immediate area. So in more contested zones like say areas in Deepholm where people do their dailies the mobs respawn faster and yes I’ve seen mobs respawning almost immediately to fill in for one I just killed.

This is just false. As people who bot or cheat, usually either

  1. Buy the account from a non legit website, that has stolen accounts etc.
  2. They steal accounts themselves.

They don’t go and buy 20euro or whatever clients, every single time they get banned.
There’d be no money to be earned.

Also, you cannot just spam bann everytime you find a bot, why? The moment ONE is banned, they all stop & figure out why they got banned, fix that weakness then continue.
You need to massbann in waves to be efficient.

But this comment will fall to deaf ears anyway, as you want to believe what you want.
PirateSoftware explains stuff like this very well.

Can see my last post, again PirateSoftware covers this excellently.
You never bann cheaters/botters 1 by 1, that’d be the dumbest idea ever.

You massbann in waves, otherwise they fix the weakness when 1 of them gets banned.

Except you know… Those bots are kinda visible with a Naked eye. Names made out of random letters, moving in a rigid linear pattern etc never deviating from the script. In this cases you wouldn’t need a big ban wave that allows botters time to recoup/cover their potential loses even if they went a least profitable way. You just need a simple human supervision in common gathering hubs.

Yes you do. Because as i said, the moment they bann just 1, botters will disappear temporarily.
You always, always, bann in waves.

I literally just searched “bann botters in waves” and i get this, from the guy i talked about.

Take it from the lead of security. Hes not a “blizzard shill” or whatever. He talks about these subjects in general, about all companies. Dude hasn’t worked at blizzard for years & has his own company now iirc.

Bots are not always random character names. Apart of that you are 100% correct. Ban waves make sense only if anti bot system is automated.
And obviously, blizzard avoiding hiring gms at any cost

And what’s the end result of this philosophy though? We still se dozens if not hundreds of bots every day. Druids flying around grabbing every piece of ore and Herb they see. They’re not clever, they’re not hidden. They fly straight to a nearest node and will only change direction if they notice you already tapped the Node. Seen a pair in Northrend back when we were closing the Phase 1 and I decided to finally try and get Darkmoon Card. So in preparation for that I went on Herb Gathering spree. They flew in perfect synchro following the same path, diving to the same nodes. One alliance and one horde. It was hilarious and frustrating.
