Hi guys. I was wondering, now we can mail gold and items between our Alliance and Horde characters, if they are on the same realm? Thanks.

With the introduction of Cross-Faction Instances, it is possible now to send mail and gold to players from the opposite faction that are on the same realm (including gold). The new cross-faction trading feature wasn’t documented in the official Patch 9.2.5 notes.

yes, if you´re an alliance, you can send gold to horde alts

i would like to know what erevien thinks about that.
Now alliance can bribe lorthemar with gold and other things…

Thanks guys. I’m undecided between Silvermoon or Draenor, which one should I pick? Should I make my Horde characters on Silvermoon or transfer my Alliance ones on Draenor?

I’ve always had my Horde/Alliance split between Draenor/Silvermoon and I have no intention to move either.

I think it’s great that you can now send gold across and many hope to be able to join the same guilds in the future on the same realms but it’s not enough for me to want to move one to the other.

Some guildies have made their Alliance charactesr on Draenor but they will be a minority, even if others are doing it. It will be interesting to see a year or so down the line how it affects the faction split though.

Cross-faction seem to be very successfull :slight_smile: In our communities a lot of cross-faction groups are starting since the limitation is gone. It is a bit waiting till blizz will add the /invite [name] feature in the game too. We currrently have to use the group-finder for it.

The transferring gold and things among your own chars, no matter the faction, is a great addition too :+1:

I have always kept my Horde and Alliance on different realms, for the sake of keeping things tidy. Especially since I could send things between them, there was no point keeping them together.

Now Cross faction sending is a thing, I still can’t send things because they’re on different realms.

Since they’re starting to allow Auctions Region wide, maybe (just maybe) this could be the start of being allowed to send cross Realm as well.

What is the point now to not be able to trade gold region-wide with the 9.2.7 auction house.
Was thinking about leveling an alliance char, but I’m gonna have 0 gold

Can it be transferred on across linked realms?
(ie shattar/steamwheedle))

Connected realms are essentially just one realm, so it should work yes.
