Alliance get 20% bonus this week

Not wrong but not 100% accurate either…
In your friendly camp you expect to see NPCs react and help you figure something is happening, especially at the boat, even more so at the Great Seal.
And as a Hordie you assume all the npcs around have the “pvp” tag on…
Except a lot actually don’t, much to a lot of people’s surprise.
And when you see Alliance camps in that area having a lot of npcs coming out as soon as you walk to close from it, you’d think the same would happen here.

I find that odd tbh.
For instance there’s an Horde camp and an Alliance camp in Warport Rastari.
Most of the npcs in the Horde camps don’t react to Allys.
While a lot of Ally npcs come out of Alliance’s camp. Sure they’re not threats for a raid, but you have a mass of npcs kind of troubling your view, it helps in some ways.

Most Horde camps are like that. It doesn’t need to have an equal number of npcs, but more well guarded camps for Hordes(not all of them, but kinda puzzling to have better several Alliances camps in Zandalar than all Horde camps, in their friendly area) would be nice.

True. I find that odd too that no NPC cared about us.
Still, even in my friendly camp i won’t rely on NPC because i know they’re not a threat, more an annoyance. If they were strong enough to be a threat, assaulting a city will be too difficult and too long even to plan.

Yes, I am optimistic, it could work out!

The player type balance is going through a correction process. It’s anecdotal… but I am being attacked now in mid zones when stealth is off. That would have been very unusual before, rare even. If I’m mining for example, I sometimes get attacked now. Before 8.1, it was really rare for Horde to attack me. That’s interesting. Ye it’s just my observation, but I wonder if already the faction balance of actual wpvpers in a shard has improved. Less horde pure pve’ers = more horde wpvpers in shard = better wm shards, if if if.

More Alliance pure pve’ers less an issue, because prob much fewer to start with. Alliance pve’ers, just doing the kill quest… they are part of a mechanism… their purpose is to reduce horde pure pve’ers. And hopefully, wpvpers themselves were always balanced from start. Could work!

I think in the qa, Ion said that if outnumbered reward % drops to a certain number, no pvp quest. I might have got that wrong, maybe he was talking about it dropping to 10%. Does the reward go 10, 20, 30? Or 10, 15, 20, 25, 30? Dunno. Someone clarify so I don’t have to look it up, thx.

I think you’re misunderstanding me. I dont disagree that there are more horde than alliance, it just seems to me that horde “Pure Pve’ers” as Vaëyn puts it are the only ones who aren’t allowed to benefit in any way whilst Alliance PvE’ers get a free ride. Vaëyn, in almost every single post on this topic quotes “Horde Pure PvE’ers” as the “problem”.

Why is that a problem? That’s the whole point of WM to get a bonus?? Why focus on horde who are there “just for the bonus”? How many Alliance have there been in the last few weeks who are there “just for the bonus”? Quite a lot it would seem.
There are certainly a whole load of Alliance who are there not to PvP but simply to pick up the free gear. I’ve lost count of the number of times now that I’ve died at a horde Flightpath in Vol’dun or w/e and seen the guy killing me just get his 100 or 500 HK’s Achievement…

I’m just not understanding how Alliance players with no interest in PvP are being welcomed into this balancing act while similar horde players are the ones almost being demonised as the “problem”.
