Alliance-Horde treaty

With the events now set in place of this war at an end and the treaty more or less set in place. How are your characters viewing this?

I know a lot of characters will be hugely unhappy about and some others will be glad there is peace and hopefully prosper from it.

What would your character’s thoughts be or even their motivation to accept this treaty or go out of their way to kill the opposite faction under the treaty?

For Riralsun the war is far from over. Every single person with the horde crest is guilty and must be purged. And if the alliace dont understands that then screw anduin

Edevane has taken the news very well and is perfectly happy for peace and definitely has attacked 0 Horde targets in sabotage raids

Uuuh, I don’t feel loyal to the Horde… :eyes:

The Horde might have gotten into an agreement with the Alliance about no blood being spilled. But Zandalar sure as heck didn’t. So the Alliance will still very much burn according to our already agreed schedule.

Chieun is definitely not returning to Orgrimmar now that it’s a lit powderkeg of forgiven loyalist cells waiting to blow.

I am unsure of what Ashi will do. Vigilantism? Or just back off for a bit.

Having discussed it with some of the more radical elves in Kalimdor, she has reluctantly agreed that the peace doesn’t bring justice to those who deserve it.

She’s a Harvest Witch. She couldn’t use nature to kill an orc unless they were cripplingly allergic to grain and beets. Now she is a Worgen, but not being an enlistee in the army, she only really stretches her feral legs when the hunting urge grows too powerful to ignore.

Killing a sentient being would bring back unpleasant memories from Gilneas… though with time and if properly motivated, she could probably learn to live with that.

chuckles nervously…

Some of my characters, like Sanara herself, see the big picture over their personal feelings. She’s a Shaman, she’s gonna go heal the world and stop N’zoth - the Horde is a problem for another day.

Others, like my Night Elves or Alliance-defected Blood Elf are… less convinced by the urgency of the situation. The Horde is a blight to be purged in holy fire.

On the flipside, most of my Horde characters - two Orcs and a Goblin - are for the most part breathing a sigh of relief. The war wasn’t for them, they’re glad Sylvanas is gone.

My newest Orc, Karnaxx, intended as a Loyalist char, is quite annoyed - she didn’t care much about the Alliance, really, but she really likes fighting, and now there’s going to be less of it - or at least, it’s going to be redirected towards nebulous tentacle monsters that are far less satisfying to kill! Bah!

Narmë- have decided to travel and disappears in the wilderness for a while, until things either blow up (again) or calm down.
Draenei mage- grinding her teeth, still in favor of orc extermination (and their allies with it). She’ll stay and support the night elf army.
Pandaren- unconcerned as long as everyone else get the hell away from Pandaria.
Albanne- happy about it, until she realised that a whole lot of night elves were not going to let down their weapons.
Raefeth- happy about it, with little hope to go home but at least no longer fighting other elves.

Despite having witnessed atrocities committed by both sides, my character is rather appalled with how easy the Horde is seemingly just let off the hook.

Shifting the blame entirely onto Sylvanas, who was not even brought to justice, is a less than satisfying outcome in his eyes, because there were many who fervently adhered the word of the banshee queen.

Regardless of that, he will still hold back for now and respect the truce. At least for a while…

Jinjo welcomes it strongly, and plans to capitalise on the political overtures of peace to actively work on initiatives aimed at having alliance and horde together - using good old pandaren penchants for neutrality as the binding agent.

It will be interested to see how others react to this will it occurs–I imagine there will be some who view him IC as some kind of “bleeding heart” and “a soft touch” for trying to do so.
