A job should feel like a hobby, so I guess that is a fine motivation

You fight because sylvanas tells you to fight, and apparently she’s that good at controlling the flow of information to the public that the average horde soldier believes they are fighting for true honour. And because her public propaganda makes no mention of plague spreaders or raising the dead so the average horde solider ignores the sight of these things when fighting at where they been deployed because they can’t be "anything to do with the horde, because they weren’t mentioned
" despite the fact said individuals spreading the 0lague are usually the ones briefing you on your assignment in that area.
Okay, a better explanation is the horde is bored. They fight because they’re bored.
I don’t care if sylvanas is a propaganda genius, she is in no way subtle about her methods in several of the warzones. So horde are fighting because:
A) they’re bored.
B) they’re stupid and ignore all the signs that what sylvanas tells them is the reason for fighting are clearly not the genuine reasons, because “that’s not what she said hur dur, what’s this plague spreader doing here?”
C) they fight because they genuinely believe in her regime and as happy to be part of a sinister scourge esque dictatorship.
D) they’re cowards and don’t believe in the above but aren’t prepared to do anything to stop it so will instead commit horrendous acts because they were told to.
That’s my summation
The fight because either they’re bored, stupid, morally bankrupt or cowardly. Safe to say I see no good genuine reasons why horde are involved in the sylvanas show.
If I was this char I think this would be my choice.
I would not use the word coward, but scared.
What would the worst outcome be if I went against the regime?
I can’t be with friends and loved ones if I’m being shunned (killed even)
How big a hope is there for the opposite side to have mercy to us if/when this war ended?
The result is so far away, it’s difficult to predict and act upon, and right now we know what we have but not what we will get - If you know what I mean
Alliance’s motivation this expansion is cleaning up Horde’s mess once more. Uniting against the evil batted Warchief and yet again forgetting all the crimes committed over and over again, for the sake of Peace and Plot. Oh and somehow they manage to swart every progress Horde made in their War Campaign in a single quest.
But wait for it guys, Ion told us it is not MoP 2.0, maybe, just maybe the ending will be different.
Sylvanas will run away instead of being jailed and become a Lich Queen, because everyone loved LK. Also means saving a trial that was complete waste of time anyway and avoiding weird alternate timeline shenanigans.
Or we will have Kerrigan in WoW by the end of BfA
I don’t play SC so I don’t know her story but if she gets away with what she did in the recet times (imprisoning Eyir, burning Teldrassil, using plague, desecrating the dead, mindwashing,…) then I’ll genuinely consider quitting WoW.
Oh she always did shady stuff like that. From the moment of her introduction in WC3 (Mindcotrolling, Desecrating dead, using plague, imprisoning powerful beings into her cause and causing mass casualties for her own goals) but unlike now she had a purpose - nothing new.
Thats the meme, Kerrigan has done way worse things than Sylvanas and she got the redemption arc, because she was way too popular and loved to get a punishment treatment.
Lets face it, we knew from the beginning that this pvp skirmish would lead up to us in the end uniting against Nzoth and his minions.
Probably one of the reason it feels rather dumb
We can’t be sure if it’s the case yet - Azeroth dying and can’t heal on her own as of now. May be she needs a leech treatment medicine and planetary scale leeches called Old Gods. We might end up making a deal with given the fact that he’s not interested in death of the planet as well.
We have no motivation were just the useful plot device blizzard use to solve the hordes Political turmoil, See you at 9.3 Assault on Orgrimmar after edge queen of the edge lords totally does’t pull a Garossh 2.0 involving N’zoth somehow trapped in knifeu because plot…
Throw at the wall and see what sticks
From Genn’s perspective I guess:
We stop witches help brother Pike and drink booze with pirates there are turtle men in there somewhere and on top of it all we got war quest line that might be the most unmemorable questline in the whole game.
Other than that i have no idea Alliance side questing to me feels like a mix of leftover questlines from previous expansions that barely match together compared to Horde questing experience.
On separate the zones are nice and well done but Horde questlines and the general quality of stuff done is just boring. Like i immediately liked Tortollan on horde side but on alliance side they just seem tacked on and just are there to annoy you with WQ’s that might be worse than Oculus dungeon.
