How many procent in total are the of Alliance/Horde? Even tho there are no official lists, what do we talk about in total worldwide. Is it like 49%/51% or is it more 40%/60%?
What do you guys say?
Alot of people are saying the Alliance are dying and so on. Facts should be interesting if its only a few procents less.
Nobody really knows, they say itâs close with a slight advantage to the Horde but at the same time if they count chars thatâs not really reliable datas as a horde player having 3 alliance alts he never touches would count as 3 alliance players.
Yeah agree. Should be active players right now, would be fun to know like all level 60.
There are various sites that try to measure the populations but really they canât be used as anything more than a guideline.
Just compare alliance look for group with the hordeâs one.
40/60 according to wowprogress and wowrealmpop.
Did not see a good way to copy the data from realmpop so had to do it manually⌠not the exact same numbers as wow progress but the percentile ended up similar.
Hard to measure. If we talk about raiding/m+ Iâd say itâs even more skewed - maybe even something like 80/20 just from the number of guilds killing mythic Sire - currently 520, of which ~100 are alliance.
From the Q&A during BlizzCon:
World of Warcraft âs Game Director, Ion Hazzikostas, offered his own take. As he observes, player populations are actually balanced across most forms of content, so itâs really mythic raiding and M+ that are the issue.
Only Blizzard has the absolute numbers, so I take this as the most reliable source (they do admit that there are issues later on, they are not denying that the issue exist).
So overall itâs prob like H 56 : 44 A orso, if even.
It would have been awesome with a list from Blizzard from all the countrys with large playerbase how the % are there.
I mean i would be proud if my country Sweden were Alliance dominated.
Thatâs not wholly different from back when we had the other population website and it said the split was around 55/45. Seems very believable but as you say, only Blizzard can see the actual stats.
Blizzard donât show numbers for faction populations because that would make pretty apparent the absurd inbalance between the two and they donât want to be public.
The total ratio is more like A/H 40/60. The vast gap that exists is at top level in PVE (both raiding and M+).
For example the highest ranked alliance M+ player in rio, has a 103rd overall rank. This means there are ZERO alliance players among the top 100 players. Also among the top 100 guilds that cleared Mythic CN, about 11 are alliance guilds.
So among the best PVE players, the ratio is more like 10/90.
Now the question is, should this be a concern for you? Most probably no.
Finding and forming groups on the group finder may take a little longer on alliance side than horde side. This is especially true during non-peak hours. If you are looking for a cutting edge guild to be among the top 100 or 500, there are less guilds to choose from on alliance side. If you arenât that, alliance is just fine.
Still the issue is active players .
I couldnât care less about the numbers .
And this is where you are wrong. There is a trickle down effect that do affect down to HC guilds. As someone who wants a CE guild, then I have no other choice than going Horde.
This is basically what I wrote at the end of my post.
Last reliable figures showed as 52% Horde, 48% alliance. Realmpop and similar sites are -not- reliable sources. Apparently there were Zero players on either faction on Argent Dawn last I checked, which undoubtedly must have come as a shock to the thousands of players on the server.
People pluck percentages out of their bums and cite tables and websites and their own empirical evidence, but nobody has the facts, no, not even those websites who claim to do so. Only Blizzard have the actual facts.
Last factual figures showed a roughly 50/50 split. Different realms may vary, but that is the sorry facts of the matter.
Well, I mean that even HC guilds are also sometimes struggling recruitingâŚ
This is a realm population problem, not an alliance/horde problem.
A heroic alliance guild on Silvermoon (high pop) will find it easier to recruit than a heroic horde guild on Magtheridon.
