Allied Races - Jinyu / Ankoan, Thoughts?

Ankoan - Why they should be Horde

I’ve been pondering the potential addition of the Ankoan to the Horde, and here’s why I believe they would make an excellent addition to our ranks:

  1. Militaristic Might: The Ankoan are known for their combat prowess and dedication to protecting their territories. Their formidable military skills could greatly enhance the Horde’s strength in the ongoing battles against the Alliance.

  2. Adaptability: Hailing from the depths of the ocean, the Ankoan have a unique set of skills that could be invaluable to the Horde. Their adaptability to different environments could open up new strategic opportunities.

  3. Cultural Synergy: The Ankoan’s strong sense of honor and loyalty aligns well with the values of the Horde. Their cultural background, rooted in resilience and unity, would undoubtedly strengthen the bonds within our faction.

  4. Strategic Alliances: The Ankoan’s knowledge of the sea and naval tactics could provide the Horde with a significant advantage in naval warfare. This strategic alliance could turn the tide in favor.

Jinyu - Missed Opportunity for the Alliance

I’ve been reflecting on the Jinyu and can’t help but think they would have been a perfect addition to the Alliance. Here’s why:

  1. Wisdom and Diplomacy: The Jinyu are known for their wisdom and diplomatic skills. Their ability to strategize and seek peaceful solutions aligns well with the Alliance’s ideals, making them a missed opportunity for our faction.

  2. Natural Allies: The Jinyu share a common enemy with the Alliance - the Horde. Their inclusion could have strengthened our unity and provided the Alliance with a race that excels in both martial and strategic prowess.

  3. Magical Proficiency: Jinyu possess a deep understanding of magic, particularly water-based spells. This could have brought a unique magical perspective to the Alliance, complementing the existing magical diversity within our faction.

  4. Cultural Harmony: The Jinyu’s reverence for the waters and the natural world resonates with the Alliance’s commitment to preserving Azeroth. Their cultural values could have seamlessly integrated with the Alliance’s diverse tapestry.

Let’s discuss what could have been and how the Jinyu and the Ankoan could have been the perfect Allied races for both Horde and Alliance.

Here is the stylisation of Ankoan and Jinyu, If someone could post these I would apricate it, The reason I decided to make this topic is that everyone has said Hozen BUT I feel using races of similarity but differing paths of lifes has a much larger impacts and shows that races don’t have to be so different to choose different paths, I would just love to see something super different to what were getting due to the new Allied dwarves for both Alliance and Horde.

Thanks for listening the link is below if someone could post thank you again

Please can give arakkoa to Alliance and Ogres to horde instead? Way cooler. Also, both are based in draenor, so if we have some minor story line, where outlands explodes, it’d be cool as an opportunity for that. (Sorry edited it in, because I confused these 2, mb.)

Uhh… What? Ankoan are the fish people in Nazjatar, not sure who you thought they were.

OHHHH

I confused with arakkoa omg. Well now this post is different.

Thanks puny!

And I hope to see your thoughts on it! Same with you saiyan!

No the Ankoan helped the Alliance. Horde would get the blue goblins. Which I would be quite happy with tbh.

Also… what battles against the Alliance? We are all friends now!

How about we improve the customization of existing races first before we get our hands in even more new ones?
Some really could use more proper options by the handful and not “5 new hair colors”, or “1 new skin”.

Once we got that sorted out - Sure, go wild with more of them.

I don’t really like them myself.

Not every race needs, or even should, to be allied race and these fishdicks are perfect example of one that should never ever be one

I think both have not enough costumisation options to be worth it…

I think there are better races to give… but I dont mind them.

Not worth.

Hot take: I don’t think we need any more classes or races. We just need good content.

I disagree with this only based on the principle that the Horde has been begging for Ogres for almost 2 decades now.
