The actual culprit is Velen (well, in universe, because the true culprit is obviously Blizzard). Wanna know why ? Because heâs the one who restored the Sunwell. The thing that differentiated blood elves from high elves was that they absorbed demonic magic to appease their addiction.
Since the Sunwell was restored at BC, this difference has largely disappeared.
Now blood elves and high elves have almost no distinction, apart from the fact that one is in the Horde and the other is in the Alliance.
I mean, the reason why we got void elves is because from Blizzard pov, high elves are already playable in the form of blood elves. And they right. They are basically playable since the end of BC.
So yeah, blame Velen.
Yeah, Vulperas get a lot of hate, and thatâs a shame, because they are one of the best allied races. Mainly because they ACTUALLY are a different race from the rest. They have their own culture, their own enemies, and above all, their history is very similar to what the Horde was originally supposed to be.
We really need more allied race like the vulperas, rather than variants of races we all already know.

I get there are furries playing them. But frankly, the furry community were already present with the taurens, worgen and pandaren. It wasnât the vulperas who brought them. And Iâm not even counting all the animal races that arenât playable but do exist.
And you know what ? People are actually asking for more races based on animals, like the Sethraks or the Tuskarr and I doubt all of them are actually furries.

It is not a secret that every cutesy animal humanoid that doesnt look like it could rip you a new one is damned to be seen as furry race.
Like the Draktyr are seen as a race for scaliesâŚ
i honestly dont understand why people want extremely fantasy-coded races like naga , would u actually be playing that one ? i mean people dont even play draenei because it has hooves and weâre talking about fish here.
As much as these threads are nice for fun creative purposes, almost none need to be added to the game. Allied races should only be added if theyâre unique.

They have been a friendly faction with earnable rep for 2 expansions now (Wrath and DF), they have male,female and child models. Their own mounts and rep rewards.

I know Blizz can be lazy, but having all of these listed guys as allied races? Some of them ought to be core races.
But to answer the title?
*Gilgoblins-they were there in Nazjatar, come on!
*Wildhammer-they deserve to be a proper AR. People yammer on about them just being part of the customisations for IF dwarves. They have different builds and are geographically challenged, so full AR or riot. Shouldâve been in BFA.
Edit to add: I wonder if in Midnight and TLT, we might get forest trolls and (unlikely, but one can wish) high elves for the former, and frostborn/iron dwarves and taunka for the latter.
No, they dont⌠normal dwarves can allready look like WH-Dwarves.
