I paid money for the 70 character boost with the intent to use the boost after the 90 day grace period on Thekal to boost an alt character. Now I understand that keeping the servers feeling “fresh” for as long as possible was the intention but we are deep into phase 2 of ulduar now and that fresh experience is LOOONG gone. Please allow us to use the service we paid for, how we want to.
You weren’t promised 90 days of grace, you were promised a minimum of 90 days. That meaning that Blizzard would open up boosts and transfers if they felt that the fresh servers no longer had a healthy population.
And 3 weeks into Ulduar is hardly “deep into phase 2”.
The server population is far from healthy, you can see on Ironforgepro. And yes they did say a minimum of 90 days, i suspect to try to keep the fresh experience, the server feels like its in exactly the same position as every other server in wotlk classic. I dont see how allowing the single 70 boost could be in any way negative to the server.
So just your boost and nobody elses?
Alright, I’ll go check.
7.7k population, 3k Horde and 4.5k Alliance. Since WoTLK was originally designed for a maximum population of 4k, please tell me how 7.7k isn’t healthy?
Is this just another case of the P Server mentality of “megaserver or dead”?
honest this point need allow paid boost for 70 atleast 1 for alt 2 alts alteast lvl ugh drag boring 2
They should allow us to boost and transfer characters in, as they opened transfers away from the server.
Opening the server to transfers is hardly keeping it locked.
Since there are 700layers and you only see npcs and find nobody to group up with, thekal is dead
Pretty much this.
It beggars belief that they’d allow transfers away from the servers while preventing transfers to the server/boosts on the server.
Very odd choice.
Reduce the layers instead of letting people transfer with all of their gold, then?
No, everyone that purchased the boost is allowed to boost 1 character.
As for the population, theres only 2 servers with a lower population than Thekal. (6.7k Netherguard Keep & 4.7k Mandokir)
The other servers below have between 1000 and 60 players each so i dont really believe that they count. Compared to the larger servers that 7/8 have over 10k active players. So yeah i believe that we have a less than healthy server population.
So you are comparing the now locked “megaservers” that have had 3 years worth of growth and were the the subjects of mass-escapes from other servers to a server that was created for WOTLK? And obviously you feel that they are a guideline for whats healthy?
What else is new? Did you honestly expect Thekal to be on the same level as established servers in terms of population/raiders? Especially knowing for every character that transfered to them during TBC there were atleast 2-3 waiting for WOTLK offline.
Boost a character on one of them and begone from Thekal. Problem solved.
No, thats why i want to help the population with character boosts… im not moaning about the state of thekal. I just want to be able to boost a character on the server where my main character is and all my friends play xD
Nah, keep it as it is imo. People can level up if they want alts. The boost should have never been added anyways.
