Allow us to avoid 1 button players

I have no horse in this race, but this whole post feels like projection.
I don’t do group content, but if I was doing high level group content, I would also want to exclude one button players, not because I’d fear being outperformed, but rather the only real logical reason why anyone would want to not invite one: they’re more worried about the parties they form underperforming due to one button rotation players not being able to carry their own weight because for example all they do is press 1 and aren’t incentivized to idk bind their interupt seperately and switch targets to interupt priority interupts.

I doubt they’ll make this tool have you switch targets and interupt a priority cast all built into clicking the one button so the more one button players you have the less likely it is priority interupts won’t get interupted.

And that’s just one example to give as to why no one is worried about being outperformed and its more worried about their party underperforming when one joins.

What I don’t understand, is what’s the point of engagement farming on the WoW forums. On the Tvitter I get it, people need to provide for their families, and that fat 20€ check is tempting, but why here?

The Single-Button Assistant and Assisted Highlight modes will:

Adjust to abilities you know from changing talents and include them in the cycle of abilities used or highlighted.
Swap between single target and AoE damage spells based on proximity of enemies near your primary target.

The Single-Button Assistant and Assisted Highlight modes won’t:

Move your character around in the world, or use any mobility buttons like Blink, Sprint, or Heroic Leap.
Change targets for you if your target dies or you want to debuff multiple different enemies.
**Use major offensive cooldowns like Avenging Wrath, Bladestorm, or Ascendance.**
Interrupt enemies or otherwise use utility or crowd control spells.
Heal your low health character or use defensive abilities.
Use any trinkets, potions, tradeskill items, or other similar items in your inventory.

It isnt even using cooldowns. I am pretty sure this is just for outdoor content. People are going wild over nothing.

And yet, it’s everything.

Let me give you a scenario. UEFA invents a new, “handicapped friendly” ball. This football will help in your performance by moving the ball in a more optimal way.
It will not make you a major league player, but it will make you play better than the bottom 70% of all football player World-wide. It is also not visible if you have enabled that the ball is helping you or not, nor do you have to have a disability for it. You can enable this help even if you are just feeling lazy.

This means that starting from now on, unless you are very serious football player, there’s little to no point to play football, as any random player will just beat you while giving in a fraction of the effort that you are giving in.

But you wouldn’t mind it. Because you are a very serious player. You are committed and you believe that they will perform worse still.

Or they won’t. Maybe they will be better than you while watching YouTube on the other screen.

Eww

There are a lot of correlations like this. For example if someone doesn’t enchant his gear, he probably also doesn’t care much about minmaxing, yet there you don’t say anything. Also, what content level do you do, where this matters? In raiding it only matters much in Mythic I guess, yet this is not pug-content anyway. In PvP there is MMR. So it’s just about M+ sweats? Is whole azeroth only revolving around M+ now?

i mouse click some/ a lot of cds - more then liek 10 keybinds is to hard for me

i usualy use 123456 + q,e,r,t,f + 2 keys on mouse.

my old brain cant manage more then this - rest i click

this 1 button rotation will be amazing for like heavy movement part of fights when i have to focus on surviving rather then on using abilities

Get an MMO mouse if you can. I have everything bound to the side buttons. I only use E and Q as binds for stuff like leaps on DH and Warrior.

I click stuff like other Druid forms and Meld just so I don’t accidentally press them.

I never even learned to play with binds. I was a clicker before MMO mouse.

Yeah i have a logitech g502, not a MMO mouse but binding 1-5 to the extra buttons is a godsend.

try OPIE for druid forms, it’s amazing. A radial wheel. I never accidentally switch out

I use a Corsair Scimitar which has 12 side buttons. I have my bars setup like the layout of the mouse. Even though I now remember where everything is.

Every time I see someone talk about having issues with binds I show up and recommend an MMO mouse.

This feature has once again shown the kind petty and sad people we have in this community.

We didn’t need the feature for that, but it does make some stand out this week

This feature once again shows that people are unable to see the ramifications of Blizzards terrible ideas.

The same geniuses that make a “SoloQ” M+ thread every 2 days. Or even more casual players that are so lazy they need 1 button rotations as a few spells are wewwy scawy :frowning:

I can see the benefit to disabled players, but just keep it out of HC/Myth Raid and M+

Blizzard can I have an ingame option to not play with people that make these kind of threads?

that would fix both our problems. :joy:

How about just save the spam and just say you hate casuals :man_shrugging: I don’t see why people would use it bar learning a class but it’s not designed for players like me. Doesn’t me I belittle players who will use it

I’m a casual and I’ve tanked four +12 since yesterday. I didn’t need some cornball one button macro.

I was out of my mind drunk for the first 3 so I was probably legally disabled.
