Almost time for me to go

So, my time, for now, in WoW is coming to an end.
On the 17th my gametime will be up and I will not be re-subbing for a while.
Probably not at least until 8.2 and maybe even later, depending on what I see and hear about the game until then.

I’m not quitting because I have nothing to do. There’s plenty I COULD do. I just don’t enjoy almost any of it. The only time when I seem to be enjoying BfA is when I get to continue doing storyline content. And this is more often than not, way too brief.

I don’t raid, so that’s off the table right away. Even LFR hasn’t lured me in because there’s only 1 mail set and it looks horrendous. Dazar’alor doesn’t seem to be changing that.
I don’t enjoy running dungeons over and over. I’ll do them once, maybe a couple of times, but that’s enough for me.

So that leaves a few other types of content in BfA:

Island Expeditions. Probably for me personally one of the biggest let downs of the expansion. It’s so boring, it’s so non-engaging. It’s so grindy. And the rewards might as well not exist. I made a fairly extensive post in the IE feedback thread, so I’ll leave it at this.

Warfronts. Not my favorite type of content, but in a ‘do them once every couple of weeks’ way, yeah, they’re fine for that. But… It’s so limited. I’m not p(l)aying to do some content once every 3 weeks. I’m just not.

WQs. I did WQs all throughout Legion. They remained interesting for a LONG time. BfA did not achieve this. At all. As soon as I got the rep I needed in 8.0 I basically stopped doing them. Then in 8.1 they became a little more interesting with the increased rewards and added paragon chests (which honestly should have been in from the start), but still it’s just not enough.

I love the new zones so much. All of them. But what interesting stuff is there for me to do there? Next to nothing.

So, I’m done for now. I am hoping 8.2 will fix the various issues I have with the expansion as it currently is, but even a few of them would be welcome.

So to all the lovely people on this forum, many of whom will miss me greatly, I’m sure; have a great time. I will see you some time in the future when I will be back here defending TF and fighting Blizzard’s narrowmindedness as they keep creating mythic-only content, while everyone knows choice of how you want to run your content is the best option. All the best in where ever your gaming adventures may take you. I know we rarely agreed when it came to TF but I’m sure it will still be here when you return :wink:

How about you use your previous thread for your 0+mythic disagreement? I’m not buying it, if one mythic is enough to turn you away, then…

The big directions the game has taken won’t be reversed, certainly not that soon, but I am hopeful that 8.2 will provide at least a diversion, so I hope to see you back then. :slight_smile:

Why do people like you feel the need to cherry pick and give him/her a hard time when they are making a fairwell post there is just no need for it .
Like my parents used to say “if you got nothing nice to say dont say nothing at all”
