I completed Alpaca it up for the seventh time yesterday. No quest. Internet ressources said to wait another day and it’ll be there.
Today again I was only able to feed the Friendly Alpaca without mount.
What’s going on?

I did the quest for the 7th time today and no mount either. (I did every feeding session in a raid group through group finder.)
Other people also didn’t get the mount, and some people in the zone said apparently it doesn’t work if you do it in a raid.
That’s just what I heard. So, do I need to do it from day 1 by myself then?
If it didn’t work in a raid it shouldn’t have consumed the Gersahl Green and it shouldn’t have shown the quest as completed.

I have sent a ticket because of that…and yes, it does not count while we are in a Raidgroup…I’ve asked myself, why I can turn in the quest, if it does not count then 
So it seems, like we Need to do this sh… again for 7 Days

I’ve seen some ticket replies to this which seem to be a common copy-paste. They’re probably well aware how they messed up and don’t know if they can fix it so they try to end the conversation.
It should have been an visible achievement tracker or the one with progress indicator (such as the insect pet in Ulduar hub) so players would notice right away. It seems to be using a hidden achievement tracker like the one for Artifact Appereances in the last expansion.
Normally quest credit isn’t able to be earned in a raid group, which is what most of the players were doing considering how time consuming it is to find the Alpaca, but considering this is a simple turn in it should not adhere to the common group size quest rules.
The implementation of this quest is really bad and people are really disappointed that doing it for a full week gave nothing but a cynical response, when others were able to exploit their party members on the first day to grant them multiple quest completions within the same reset period and got awarded the mount instantly with no consequences.
Very disappointed with the level of quality assurance for the whole patch. It feels like they couldn’t get a single person from their development team to play through it all in a week and realise themselves how the entire play experience is plagued with many different problems. I would not currently recommend the game to anyone if it is left in this state.

someone in my raid had its 7 turn in and didnt get it. at the start of the raid i wished him gl with a bit of laugh (in mind that there were rumors), he didnt quite get it, anyway maybe i do my last 2 in a group… , takes forver probably to find it then…
To this day there hasn’t been a single blue post adressing the issue, only ticket responses that boil down to “Well, shouldn’t have done it in a raid. You know that most quests don’t work in a raid. We also know that everything about this quest hinted towards it being completable in a raid including the game literally saying it was completed, and we never said anything to clarify that it wasn’t until it was too late but still, it’s your fault. So go and continue wasting your time because your time doesn’t matter to us and we aren’t gonna do anything about it.”
got fixed and works in raids now. you can read up on wowhead that news.
but it was 1-2 days ago, so you have to start counting from there. at least its changed to raid …
I know that but that does nothing to compensate me for the effort wasted due to THEIR fault. They refuse to even admit any fault to begin with.
P.s. Finally got it for feeding it 12 times. After refusing to close my ticket when I got the answer mentioned above they just ignored it.
Customer Service is just as AAA as this patch in general is.
