Alt army - professions

I used to have a ton of alts maxed out with all profession but I have kinda gotten lazy over the years and didnt have a much time to play. now i want to rebuild my alt army and set the mout with professions. I have made a list which classes for which profession I will chose (havent really decided which races yet but thats not that important).

Here is my list:
Warrior (main) - Engeneering, Enchanting
Demon Hunter - Leatherworking, Skinning
Druid - Herbalism, Mining
Death Knight - Blacksmithing, Jewelcrfting
Hunter - Alchemy, Inscription (just because I love hunter playstyle)
Mage/Warloc/Priest - Tailoring, Enchanting/Engeneering

Warrior is my main and i love having engeneering for all the perks, and enchanting is best used on a main character that can disenchant a lot of armour.

Deamon hunter has good aoe and can wear leather so Skinning should work really nicely.

Druids are best gatherers becasue of instant mount and picking flowers while mounted.

I picked Death knight for Blacksmithing just because I like playstyle and Jewelcrafting uses ores and Blacksmithing so its a nice pair.

I dont really see which class could benefit most from Alchemy and Jewelcrafting so ijuct pciked hunter as i love their playstyle.

I havent decided which caster I will use for my Tailor, and I am not sure between having another Enchanter, which goes nicely with tailoring. Or i could get another Engeneering so that i have both Gnomish and Goblin Engeneering.

Do you guys have any tips or suggestion? Maybe which races (Alliance) would you suggest or some classes I should switch for better resoults.

You mean, any alt with max lvl profession with engineer, will any alt apply and skips to max lvl profession if any has done with all profession and regards ?

I am not really sure what you are asking

1 player as main - reached max lvl with profession called engineer, and etc.

2 player as an alt - skips to max lvl with engineer if a main has done it before

Well no you wont be able to skip profession leveling. Even if your main has engeneering, you will still need to level it up on your alts.

There is a pandara mount that you can use to pick flowers with while in flight just like druids. No need to pick a druid just to pick herbs. I use it on my NELF hunter. I forget teh name of the mount. Even though i use it every day. Its the robot one.

Mind you, even druids have to make contact with the ground to pick the flowers. We cant hover over them in the air and pick.

Why not use your old alts and be able to craft and use legacy profession stuff at the same time?

I’d get another skinner in there personally. Back when I used to level all professions, I found Leather Working benefitted if i had more than one skinning alt sending my LWer all their skins.

The mount is called Sky Golem and is crafted by Engeneering, or I belieb there is another one you get for collecting toys. But druids can still mount instantly So they are still a bit better

Well I might use old alts, but I still need to level them up. They are all stuck in Warlords of Draenor, and basily all of them only have Draenor professions maxed out, without any older or newer recipes.

That explains it as the legacy of the WoD professions is insignificant and when you don’t have anything else learned… It is indeed a good opportunity to get new and more optimised profession alts.

Personally I only pair Enchanting with Tailoring because it is the only production craft that doesn’t require you to have a skill to get mats (Cloth). Everything else I always pair with the relevant gathering skill, otherwise it’s a pain. That’s just me though. This is what I would pair with purely Alliance races:

BS, JC, Engineering + Mining (DiD/LFD, Draenei, Gnome)
LW + Skinning (Worgen)
Alchemy, Inscription + Herbing (KT/Mechagnome)
Tailoring + Enchanting (KT/Mechagnome)

Class wise, BS with a plate wearer, LW with a leather/mail wearer, Tailoring with a cloth wearer. In DF you are gonna be able to craft your own gear, so it makes sense to put them with a class that will actually benefit from them. Everything else can go to anything, though I would recommend a Druid for herbing as flight form makes it great.

Also note you can send stuff cross-faction now, so you could have this profession army cross-faction and therefore benefit from the Goblin having Alchemy, Blood Elf having Enchanting and Nightborne having Inscription.

I’ve tried to make ones myself many times but kept going “Meh, no point until Dragonflight”. So good luck!

Ahaha yeah, I mean maybe one or two have some older professions, but I found it kinda easy to level up professions due to all the help from Garrisons, so thats why everyone got stuck there. after that you kinda had to play with all of your alts if you wanted to max out your professions which wasnt really the case in WoD.

Thanks for your ideas. I prefer to just log on my druid and farm if I need mats.
