Would it be possible to make alt catch up gear available to be purchased from vendors?
These are currently dropping from rares in Uldum and Vale. I have an abundance of mail gear but no leather or cloth gear at the moment. It would be great if you could exchange your current ones to an armor weight of your choosing or buy them to make gearing up alts a bit faster.
I think the gear swapping could be interesting. I have a full set of plate at the moment but I don’t ever see myself playing a plate class.
Either that or it should just turn into a generic item that changes into the appropriate armor type of your class when you use it.
I believe professions should fill catch up ilvl slot.
For higher ilvl, yes, I agree. But it would be nice if the 415 ilvl gear from rares could be exchanged for the gear weight and slot of your choosing. Or as Khans suggested just make the token turn into the gear weight appropriate for the character you are using it on.
personally, the only gear vendor i like are tier token ones. but there should definitely be a system to level and arm the alts faster. i hope they address this problem in SL.
