Ok, so the honor system for pvp ranks.
The battleground rep grind.
Timbermaw Hold rep grind.
Even Dream Warden rep grind.
Is this truly alt character friendly for a casual seasonal server in its design when you consider how long it takes for a player to 100% any of it?
The same can be said for a lot of low chance RNG. If this is a seasonal server meant for alt cahracters and just casual fun, is it alt friendly and casual fun when drop chance of certain things are too low?
They (the SoD team/Aggrend) has stated that SoD is supposed to cater to a more casual laid back kind of an audience and be alt friendly. But, time commitment is a big factor as to whether or not something is casual and especially whether or not we think it is worthwhile to pursue things with an alt character as well.
At the same time, if things are too easy to pursue then what happens when you max things out too early and you’re left with nothing to pursue?
A very important thing to note here is this… This is NOT supposed to be a “official expansion pack experience” nor is it meant to be “like era”, so get those notions out of your head right away. This is meant to be a “fun server” that is casual seasonal and temporary and for all we know everything will be wiped at the end, how much time investment is reasonable to demand out of a player for such a server? And if it is supposed to be CASUAL FRIENDLY then, well, is it?
Is SoD living up to its own promise or does it need to alter its design? And if it doesn’t need to later its design, why? How are the already established grinds considered “alt friendly” for a normal person and not a terminally online wow addict?

You are going to be hugely disappointed when you spend all this time farming those things and they eventually shut this festering pile down.

It takes less time than it should no matter how you twist and turn it.
Investment = Reward.
I didn’t feel like the investment of time was appropriately rewarded when doing the Timbermaw Hold rep for the enchants however.
And I’m sure a lot of people feel the same way.
You do however feel Timbermaw Hold reputation is something everybody needs and also should have on every character?
A majority of people didn’t even have it on their main during Vanilla, they did fine in the journey and gameplay and didnt feel they missed out. Strange huh.
Feel u want and need it? Invest the time.
It didn’t feel worthwhile on the main who had the enchanting skill.
Felt like a tedious chore to get access to enchants others in the guild will need.
Tedious chores =/= casual fun.
If you wanna go with the argument of investment of time = reward then double the requirement for literally everything then. See how well that turns out.
We boosted our guild enchanter. Great guild activity, very social, much fun.
Well, we know how that turned out by looking in the retrospective mirror, and WoW was bigger than ever when many of the shortcuts werent there. Its when they started cutting effort in half and make everything available for everyone people started growing tired.
“Its there so I should have it since Im paying” killed this game.
You’re judging it based on expansion experience, this isn’t an expansion. It’s a seasonal supposedly “casual fun” experience.

So you think that the current grinds that are inside of SoD (be they old era grinds or new SoD grinds) are casual and alt friendly in terms of the time investment required for each?
well, my input is (and we all agree is the only relevant input) that yes, grinding and hard work does make the reward feel better. but on the other hand, we did this content often and it is only seasonal. so i can agree with extrem easy and fast way to get to the top. but only because it is the old version and it is seasonal.
it is like you would try to get your ex in to bed. would really bother to get her swooned all over again or you just wanna go over at 11 pm a bit tiptsy for a quick easy loot.
