I don’t know what’s wrong with people who love it - they must be avoiding professions and just enjoy seeing people suffer.
Normally I would not complain but if I have do this dungeon everytime I want to use the altar of decay, it can be annoying very quick.
I think they can make an achievement for this like if you kill the last boss once as an alchemist, you can use the altar of decay in the outside world, like that it would be more easy.
Let’s see if they will change something in the next patch
I remember the bad old days, the Alchemy-lab in Scholomance or the forge almost at the end of BRD for dark iron bars, i always felt sorry for people who had to do all that stuff, TBH.
They toned it down for BC (Certain specialty cloth recipes required a specific outdoor location), and removed it outright after that (To the relief of many), why, for all things they could have done with professions, did they bring that back?
You know… just deal with it maybe?
Raise prices. Whatever.
It’s a part of the game. The rules made by those who created it. Try chess. Why the pawns go like that? Because.
And dark iron was fine. Scarcity, all that. Be smart, stock up on stuff, craft a bunch when there. It’s part of the journey, the roleplay, you know? Part of your role as a crafter. You, modern kids, seem to think that everything has to be instant, already there, just for you. Newsflash: it doesn’t.
Strongly disagree. I think it is both interesting and incredibly flavourful and is one of the things I would look forward to if I was to make a toon with alchemy. It would make me want to level alchemy knowing it has this quirky thing to it.
We need more things like this that make the world feel alive, not less.
Stupid thing to complain about.
No I’m just sick of flavourful things like this being removed. I miss making my own poisons on my Rogue for example, I loved doing that. We need things like this, makes the game way more interesting,.
I dont think “anyone” really cares about the flavor at the point it becomes hindrance. The flavor will be bitter.
They do even if they think they don’t, why do you think so many people went back to classic? Because even though a month or two months to do 1-80 might look tiresome on paper it’s actually really rewarding.
I gave the poisons example - another example, in classic water is really expensive so I always found myself asking mages to make it for me. That’s another thing that makes the game flavourful and feel alive - no doubt people on here would complain about that too. '‘Why should I spend all my gold on water???’
I disagree, but I’m not going argue about it.
I disagree that.
But were those bars not only for the Legendary Mace ?
and there is the key phrase. You don’t have a toon so you don’t care. Create the toon and soon you will be lamenting on the forums too.
No I wouldn’t, I would be thinking it was cool. These same people no doubt will be complaining '‘There is nothing to do!!!’
It’s important to understand that "time is money, friend"tm
Things that are inconvenient, difficult, rare, etc. - that’s where the money is made!
We really should not go down the route where everything is so easy to make the whole system becomes trivialised and making money is darn near impossible, because it just means people earn money with tokens, dailies, and just playing the AH with botting addons all day. Can we not?
I can’t believe people are even complaining about this. It is so damn cool that you have to go into the dungeon to make certain things. I’ve missed things like this from classic so badly, we should be rejoicing they are bringing them back. Bet these are the same people who whine that there is nothing to do.
no one but you classic andy’s like classic the rest of us pay for the retail experience
Yeah but we can use the anvil in the open world, so it’s no biggie.
I don’t mind things being a little out of the way for the sake of flavour, but having to do a dungeon for it is kinda annoying, I don’t see why it isn’t just in the Brackenhide zone aswell.
If that is true blizzard is taking all wrong lessons from Classic
I’m ok with profession being mess and that they are pushing us into buying tokens and use work orders to lvl up but this?
Seriously? Slogging through a 5-man to do some basic crafting is fun content to you?
It doesn’t add anything to gameplay (Same as the poison crafting, ooh, your character is standing still, fidgeting their hands for a few minutes, riveting!), i can support making things more complicated if the complication is interesting, finding specific mob drops and stuff, sure, but “Go to this inconvenient place, just to craft an item in the same way as you craft everything else” is not interesting.
