Altar of Decay

Im sure this is not the first topic about the matter but the issue is still ongoing and i dont think there is a fix coming. So…

Move it outside of the dungeon. Just do it. Having to do the whole dungeon, one which has o lot of parts that cannot be skipped is beyond ridiculous.
Doing the dungeon and finding out the order is gone by the time you get to the altar is also great experience.
So please, just move it outside of the dungeon. Yesterday was too late.

Unlikely they will move it outside since they added this “alternative”

Can’t you just complete in on mythic0 and just extend lock out? Or at the very least - have cleared dungeon for the whole week and reclear it once a week? I think my guildie does that. When I gave him personal order, he was done in like 3mins

A few easy steps to solve this issue.

Step 1: pick up the work order at your crafting station. This way you will have 30 minutes to complete the order itself.

Step 2: get a group together, go into m0 brackenhide (or in other terms normal mythic) and clear every boss.

Step 3: finish the work order at the altar.

Step 4: after the weekly reset press O, and go to the tab that shows your raid IDs (there should be a button for it at the top right corner). You will have a list of IDs there that will all say expired.

Step 5: Find the ID for brackenhide and click the extend button.

Now your previous clear is extended, so you do not have to clear the dungeon ever again to get to the altar.

As a sidenote make sure you extend your ID before you enter the dungeon. What I found is that if you step inside before extending will clear your ID and you have to clear the dungeon once again.

Thanks.

But still, isnt this a little excessive for crafting okay items everyday? If it was for leggo craft… but this.

The easiest step is just ignoring every work order that includes the altar of decay.

We as players asked for more RPG elements in game. Well we got some, and thematically it fits that we craft these toxic-themed items in BH. Though it’s incovenient, but it gives flavour.

From personal experience the altar serves two purpose:

  • Flavor, which may not be something that this current generation wants, as it conflicts with convenience.

  • Gives more value to these crafts. Quite a few of the customers I gathered for my craft look me up specifically because I can craft toxic pattern recipes to them. Some do not know how to save their ID, much less that they do not have to clear the dungeon over and over for a craft. This leaves crafters for this gear on high demand.

I personally do not mind it much, but that is because of this workaround.

Flavour and RPG is cool. But having to form up group and run whole dungeon just to fill in crafting order is a bit too much. It should be accessible outside of the dungeon like every other special crafting station is.
