Depends what you play and how you play and which server u play.
Shadow pot was on my server 45silver, mana pots r 14silver each and I need prob , have 10 pots in bag, Agi pots r 30 silver. there is also food and i use vendor water since is better than mage one at 25 lv, stack of 5 is 10 silver. Forgot the arrows that i need to buy, and craft food for me and pet as well. raiding properly needs gold ngl but some people do not even bother to buy vendor water xD It is so little amount of ppl who use consumables in raid in sod.
On my server, the shadow pot is around 35 silver, no clue what mana pots go for, the str pots are around 8 silver each (dont know what agi go for as im not min/maxing fully), and I have made my own food from the start so no clue what that really goes for and I have had stacks of the clams in my bank from when you still could go in and just loot them in BFD. The most expensive thing I use is clearly shadow pot / faps each run and thats just 1 per run, so if I gain even 1 gold I go slightly plus each run.
So, GDKP with extra steps? 
huh? can you not read or. this eliminates RMT completely, they cannot sell us gold for us to get the currency

Im guessing the point was to get rid of RMT. So it being a GDKP with extra steps inst the issue. As far as I’ve understood, most people don’t have issues with GDKPs except for the RMT aspect

I think without RMT itd be less damaging, i think without its damaging for non raiders, as raiding because such a huge profit. But RMT is the core issue present.
I think a large cause for this is it spread to pugging.
If you want a honest replacement to GKDP. Your looking at DKP. Thats effectively what the systems built on.
You get DKP per raid attended, you get awarded bonus DKP for turning up early and being fully ready, and you use that DKP to bid on drops.
The problem was with pugs, DKP dont work in a continous changing roster.
Just take ur raiders.
Apply DKP, recruit the people who on and off do raid with you as pugs as socials, tbis would award ur core raiders with simply winning any item they choose to while having randoms show up who arent expected to attend 100%.
