I wanted to do fresh but after 2 days I already knew that it was a dream that wouldn’t happen.
Think I’ll just wait a month or 2 into wotlk before I can start leveling.

Wanna play on Thekal, but also want to have any kind of life?
Introducing bots, remote desktop and 300 level 1 alts sitting in SW jumping once every 5min.
The fix for this is so incredibly obvious. If it was 1-2hr queues I could get being hesitant for adding more servers, but there’s literally 1-2 FULL servers just in queue

The worst part of all of this is they openly said in their blue post that they believe fresh server populations will dwindle post launch. So it’s not as if they’re even wanting to do anything about it.
They seem to forget this is PRE PATCH. THIS ISNT EVEN WOTLK YET.
What do you expect us to do? Wait a year to play? YEP F R E S H WotLK can finally play by the time cata pre patch hits.

Guess it’s time to flood their Twitter. That is the only way they see it. If everyone posts about that sh*t, gonna see if they ignore 10k+ posts. FORCE THEM.
The you think you do but you don’t thing was right? Because TBC saw such a drop in playerbase that they had to shutdown the majority of servers. Also, they are now putting in lots of changes and QOL features while players make posts every single day asking for the ones they haven’t yet put in.
I think that “you think you do but you don’t” turned out to be accurate. It’s not about how many people show up for the first 3 weeks of the expansion, it’s about how many people stick around to play it.
It’s not even Wrath yet, even more people will return. Don’t think they want to go on old Servers with Millions of Gold around in the Eco.
I’m down to 1.6k and the queue has gotten even slower. It’s going down by one person every 10 minutes. Says I have 18 minutes left to wait but I seriously doubt that.
Yes even more people will return and I also think WOTLK will be more popular than TBC was. But WOTLK was a massive move forward in casual friendly design, it already is the generational leap forward, it made gear catchup even easier, removed attunements entirely etc etc and people are asking for more QOL changes everywhere.
The “You think you do but you don’t” was in relation to mostly quality of life changes and the struggles of not having them and playing the older more dated game, with the LFD tool being a prime example.
And what feature are people most crying out for? The LFD. So we’ve seen the cry out for QOL changes and other changes, we’ve seen mass server deaths and players only showing up for new content releases and then stopping playing in masses, we’ve seen mega-servers show up just like retail.
I hate to say it, but he was right. I’m still glad to play the game again, it’s better than retail, but he was right.

Ye well, TBC is generally regarded as one of the worst expansions to date.
