Greetings Argent Dawn! With the Dragonflight expansion turning Dragon Rp more mainstream, I think that it is time for the dragonkind to become a little more active within our lovely Rp community.
The Emberwing Court will create and promote RP inspired by lore sources concerning Dragons, as well as creating a friendly community for likeminded individuals that are appealed to a structured, evolving RP experience, while maintaining a relaxed and casual approach without forced attendance.

The Emberwing Court is a militarized faction within the Red Dragonflight aligned with the ideals and guidance of Zaphistrasza. Unlike most red dragons, Zaphistrasza actively engaged in mortal conflicts as Lady Zaphira Emberwing. At first as a Farstrider during the Suramar liberation and later siding with the Alliance for the last great war.
During her travels she met various mortals and became convinced that in order for the Red Dragonflight to preserve life and defend those in need, the dragons should adopt knightly values as a reflection of their Flight’s Oath. Now she shares these values with the rest of her flight and use them to appeal to mortals that may be willing to join her cause and embrace draconic values and traditions.

What is the Court all about though? The Emberwing Court wish to serve the Oath of the Red dragonflight and in addition to improve relations between mortals and the various flights, embracing the role of the Red dragons as diplomats and guides among dragonkind. Zaphistrasza’s followers are traditionalists who embrace the knightly values of honor and justice, in combination with the love for life that the Red Dragonflight champions. Let us explore some of it’s fundamental pillars:
I: The Queensguard: The militant and primary aspect of the Emberwing Court is dedicated to the protection and service of the Dragonkind. The Queensguard offers protection and military aid to the Flights, recovering lost eggs and opposing evil and corruption.
II: Ruby Envoys: Except the warriors though, the Court understands the need of diplomacy. The Red Dragonflight is know to champion peace. Even if the faction is openly supporting the Alliance due to Zaphistrasza’s involvement in the last war, they embrace all who align with the Court’s purpose of restoration and justice. The mission of the Ruby Envoys is to prevent another war by creating bonds and friendship between the dragons and mortals.
III: Life Binders: During peace or troubled times, the Life Binders of the Court share their healing gifts of the life giving flame with those in need. Taking the role of medics or in order to cleanse corruption. The Life Binders will do their best to regenerate life and preserve the beauty of Azeroth and her various inhabitants.
IV: Handmaidens: The handmaidens are female dragons or dracthyr that are tasked with promoting traditions, draconic culture and ideals among the Court members and our allies. They also take care of Dragon eggs and whelps, guiding and teaching them about their flights and the best way to interact with the mortal races according to the Court’s open to mortals approach.
V: Emberwing Acolytes: Some of the Court’s followers are not dragons. There are mortals who share ideals with Zaphistrasza. They are welcomed among the Court by the dragoness and her followers. These individuals offer their own skills and knowledge to the cause, as well as bridging the gap between dragonkind and their own races, often acting as representatives of Zaphistrasza in places beyond her reach.
---- The Emberwing Offensive ----
While the Court sets out to promote peace and wisdom, there is an unsettling matter that remains a priority for Zaphistrasza. The only true enemy of the Court is the Knights of the Ebon Blade. many confuse the aggression of the Court as a statement of hate against all undead. While undeath is indeed opposing to the nature of life that the Court protects, the Ebon Blade earned Zaphistrasza’s wrath with it’s own actions, not simply by being among the living dead. In that light, the Court is not promoting senseless violence against undead who are not members of the Ebon Blade.
The reason behind this conflict is the Ebon Blade’s actions against the Red Dragonflight and the Argent Dawn during the Legion Invasion. The Emberwing Court is not openly attacking Ebon Knights on sight or within regions governed by Alliance Law. Though should the opportunity arise outside these boundaries? The Ruby Avengers will strike mercilessly against the Death Knights of the vile order.
This conflict affected the relationship between the Emberwing Court and the rest of the Red Dragonflight. As most Red dragons would prefer a less aggressive approach to the problem, sometimes pointing at Zaphistrasza as radical or extremist. Her actions against the Ebon Blade for now are barely tolerated by her flight and not officially supported in any way.

Are you a Red dragon or a dragon friendly to the Ruby? Dracthyr? Quel’dorei? Or someone that finds the above interesting? Don’t hesitate to contact Zaphistrasza.
The Court will grow slowly based on IC interactions, in order to ensure that members represent our shared ideals.
We do not recruit Death Knights, individuals that stand against our ideals, or those who would hesitate to strike against the Ebon Blade. Void casters and warlocks are also unlikely to be recruited but their applications will be considered individually.
