Lock please

Last time I saw a similar issue (Anduin missing) it was because the player had another active quest which involved Anduin being elsewhere. Check your quest log. I think the other player found him at Stormwind Embassy and once completed that, Anduin reappeared for the other quest.

If it’s broken, how did I complete it just 2 days ago on my Warlock?

If Anduin is missing, perhaps you have a phasing problem?

Im not spending a single dime on any games or this game for this matter until they fix all these issues and stop forcing me to test everything on live, its clear now pre patch has not been tested at all, and i am not paying to test it my self on live.

Did you actually read Shammoz’s reply? You almost certainly have a quest in your log that’s phasing it.

Yes i did i just abonded all quest and he is there, this is still a broken untested experience my point still stands.

It’s not broken nor untested. Its intended. Some quests involve phasing and when in phase, the NPC you need cannot be in two places at once.

Never had that issue on horde where we practicly almost have new leader every expansion, its bassicly a bad experience now how can you expect everyone to figure that out on there own.

You mean… All the several hundred thousands of players who actually DID figure that out on their own?

Stop throwing oil on a fire

If Anduin is not there check if you have or COMPLETED quests from “In Darkest Night” storyline:

  1. On Whispered Winds
    /script print(C_QuestLog.IsQuestFlaggedCompleted(53847))
if have it: just drop it - Anduin should appear
if completed (script prints true), read below

  2. Waning Hope
    /script print(C_QuestLog.IsQuestFlaggedCompleted(53849))
if you don’t have it: pick it up from room east to throne room
if you have it, complete it
if you completed it: pick up next one: Shores of Fate - just after accepting it Anduin should appear

It might require relogin after dropping / accepting quests

above solution dose not work only quest’s i have are for the tomb of sargras skip and unwelcome advisor i also check with those scripts both cam up true and anduin still isn’t there, abandoning relogging and retaking doesn’t work either.

so what else am i suposed to do? i also checked the Embassy hes not there either

Are you seriously saying it’s intended. Of course it’s not. It’s clearly broken. I have abandoned all quests, so the only one I have left is “An unwelcome advisor” and Anduin is still not there. Saying it’s intending phasing is just not true. This is clearly a pre-patch bug since Tyralyon is in the throne where Anduin should have been. This was never a problem before the pre-patch. The bug has been in the game for more than 10 days now. It’s not okay.

Now as of 9.0.2 the “Cause for Distraction” quest also causes Anduin to be gone indefinitely. I had “An Unwelcome Advisor” pop up when I logged in, but decided to speak to Genn on the way there. Now Anduin is nowhere to be seen, because this phase doesn’t have a story conclusion yet.

I’ve managed to make Anduin appear by starting and finishing 2 other quest lines, but “An Unwelcome Advisor” was never an option in his dialogs. Abandoning the quest and relogging made it stop popping after zoning/reloggin alltogether.

If that’s an intended behavior to force a character stop progressing until the next expansion (where it will be absolete), then I’m a little robo-gnome.

I’ve just ran into the same problem this evening. I abandoned the quest in a effort to phase Anduin back in the throne room. I’ve also tried running through all the night warrior stuff, and Varian’s compass stuff from Legion (which also seems to block this quest according to some Wowhead comments). Nothing seems to have worked, and now I have no quest, no Anduin, and no Wrathion cloak.

An in-game GM was able to unstuck me. The only way for now, until they fix it.

I thought as much. I was helpfully told to file a bug report, even though the support pages list it as a known issue with a fix in the works. Thankfully I only use that character to open lockboxes and not much more.
