An Update on Shadowlands

I have raised major concerns about this expansion. And Blizz, although I know for a fact that you actually don’t read anything on these forums, thank you. There is still so much work that the expansion needs, it’s riddled with bugs and the balance is actually atrocious.

I suspect Blizz internally realized just how impossible it is to balance this quagmire of systems, especially as we get better gear in further patches.

I hope you’re building that much-needed ripcord.

Tbh given they’ve been radio silent and given 0 aknowledgement before 3 weeks it’s pretty bad.

This is clearly another one of these things they spent a hour chucking through the lines and sat on a yes or no answer before they’re allowed to do it

If they drop prepatch early however I will think even worse of this.

Atleast as of current we have time to farm for brutosaur of m+15 achievement for the mount.

I am just disapointed why they had to take so long with this decision to announce, it was pretty obvious that the game wasnt gonna be finished… but never suspected the delay actually to happen since other xpacs where just launced even they wherent finished either…

Prolly good decision to take longer, but would have been a lot nicer if the communication was more direct on… or just waited with the release date at all.
Some people find it weird people take days off to play a game, but this is something i always have done since the beginning of wow and i always really enjoy a new xpac.

Also release before the end of the year? is a few weeks really gonna be enough to make the game ready?

Well i guess we could always blame the beta testers for reporting way to many bugs and release a super buggy broken game instead! And spend your vacation time not being able to even log in like garrisons in WoD

Ok this is Rather an ok decision i guess even if i been waiting for pre patch and also the expansion itself to drop.

But might i make a suggestion, to give an Open Beta instead of an closed one? that way it will give more players the choices to be able to pitch in on Feedback and such as it seems u really needed in the stress test.
Also it would give the sense of a “pity” for all who really waited for it all this time and made vacation plans and so on for the release!

Idk its just what i think would been a great thing of u guys to do for ur LONG Commited Community!

I guess this is the right decision. I’d rather wait a bit more and have a good game rather than a rushed mess.

A M A Z I N G, But since Actiblizzard is a small indy company, what else could people expect?!?

I for once did not take paid leave from work because I foresaw that this would happen and for once I was right. “Yay”

But on a serious note. How the FK can you blame this on “we are having difficulties working from home etc.” it’s not like Covid 19 is something that just appeared now out of nowhere, Covid was a thing back when you announced your release date, and you have prolly been working from home for half a year now?
Waiting until 3 weeks ish before release date and the giving people the bad news is pretty much equal as to a
fk your customers with a dry dk.

I truly feel sorry for every customer you have that took a paid or unpaid leave from work on the promises that you have given them with your release date, and even tho i’m not one of them, I hope you find a way to compensate them.

And as a final note, whoever was STUPID enough to just sit idle and wait and hope for you to make the deadline should just go fire his own but, because MAN does that dude SUCK!

People seem to be bloody confused here so let me clear things up from the perspective of someone who is peed off:

Many of us have to book our leave as soon as possible, we booked it as soon as the date was given.

We are not mad that the game has been pushed back, we are happy because we KNOW the game is unfinished and we want a finished game.

We are upset because we KNEW the whole time that they wouldnt make this date, and so did blizz, and yet they gave it out anyway, forcing us to book our leave, and some of us cannot take it back.

This isnt us moaning about our holiday, or wishing that the original release date would be honored, it is us venting because we saw this coming, and would expect a billion dollar game company to at least have some PTR to see the scale of work needed before posting an overly ambitious release date, and then screwing up everyones vacation days.

Please dont confuse frustrated venting with rage crying. We all agree its a good decision.

This is great news and thank you Blizz. We would much rather wait for a solid expansion than receive a broken one.

I think it’s naive to think that this is a good thing. It’s a terrible thing and shows in what state Blizzard is right now. We’re getting a sh*t expansion regardless and all this does is make people angry. It’s the wrong decision.

No one is forcing you to book time off work to play WoW.

I understand why you’re upset/angry, but this is a weird statement.

Why wouldn’t someone take time off for something they enjoy?

Not like you can actually go somewhere with the Covid lockdowns…

Lowkey, i think that this delay was planned even before release date, just for PR reasons…
