Analog input and Gyro problems

Hey,
I am one of those stubborn people who want to use controller to play wow and it actually works amazingly with certain addon but there is pretty huge bug with gyro as mouse on controllers:

  • When I use analog input to move (joystic) or press button that is read as a controller button (x,y,circle, tringle and so on) and then use gyro to move the cursor or turn the character and click either emulated or actual mouse left/right click, my camera will turn about 20-30 degree to the left on every mouse click for a moment. It makes gyro controlled aiming/camera controls/clicking UI features unplayable.
  • Current fix for this is to use steam or ReWASD or other program that lets me rebind buttons on controller. Use one of those programs and disable gyro whenever I press left or right mouse button for the duration of the press.
  • Problem with the “fix” is that it disable drag feature totally because when I press the mouse button down, gyro disables and thus I cannot move the cursor on the screen.

That fix was “ok” when I used DS5 to play and right stick to turn the camera. However I am using now Alpakka controller that has no right stick, instead it uses gyro for aiming/turning camera etc so disabling gyro on every click is not a good option.
Before people whine about l2p with kb+m I must say that I am not doing this only for myself, I am designing 3D-printable controller that anyone can just print and use and the main target is people with disabilities like missing some or most fingers etc. Gyro is amazing for cursor movement for people who cannot use kb+m to play and it works almost perfectly in most games. In WoW it would work too without big hazzle if Blizzard would fix the issue with camera turning if gyro is used as a mouse after analog/controller input and clicking with mouse buttons. I can make video if needed to explain better what I mean. It is very simple problem that is slowing down the process of making customizable “almost” free controller for everyone who needs one.

P.S add “raid cursor” (from ConsolePort addon) as a baseline UI feature into the game to make the life of controller healers easier. It also helps alot with kb+m players and helps alot with soft targeting feature + healers that work by doing dmg (Monk, Disc, Hpala).

I am not sure what your question is here.

If you are trying to report a bug with the addon, Blizzard did not make the addon. You need to report it to the addon maintainers, not Blizzard.

If you are trying to report a bug with the “Gyro controller”, well, its not on the list of supported hardware, ergo Blizzard don’t support it. At best all you could do is send them feedback asking them to consider supporting it, but thats done via the in-game feedback tool.

It’s a bug in the game. You can try it yourself if you have controller. Use left stick to move your character and then mouse to turn the camera. It will turn the camera instantly about 20-30 degrees to the left on every mouse click for a moment. After every “controller” input it will go ballistic with mouse clicks. Basically Blizzards own controller support does not like controller + mouse commands. It’s like trying to play Skyrim with controller and using “Auto input switch” addon so you can use controller and keyboard + mouse but since the game is not designed to support 2 different input methods sametime, it will work very poorly. Similar problem with Starfield atm aswell, if you wanna use controller and kb+m then you need to make macro with 3rd party program to keep 1 keyboard key pressed down all the time to activate the ability to use controller an kb+m sametime for things like binding kb buttons on your controller or using gyro for aiming.
