Ancient Kalimdor

I would love to see and travel the Ancient Kalimdor. To see old troll tribes, dark troll transformed into Kaldorei. Breaking of aqiri empire. All the juicy stuff that happened before The Great Sundering

Do you think we will ever go there ? I would not be even mad if they restarted the game to WoW 2 set in Ancient Kalimdor.

What do you think ?
Should I keep dreamin´ ?

I agree, i would love to visit Kalimdor as it was before, see all the zones, Ashara, Stonetalon, Desolace etc, withour orc and the other races influence, with new and updated graphics. It could be some sort of questline connected with the Bronze Dragonflight in the new expansion! I think it would be an awesome idea.

Yes! it would really interesting. But i fear it would require too much effort from the devs

Preach my brother! Preach!

But medling with the past is never a good idea…
It should be a seperate game, or a classic-like side game
Azeroth 10000 BS (Before Shundering) or something like that
Would be nice, but I don’t think it will ever happen

Probably the only way would be some sort of Caverns of Time Instance like Battle of Mount Hyjal.

That never happened. So you will not see that. Night elves are not related to trolls.

They should make a cinematic version of the campaign or chapters of wow . They should capitalize on the lore .

I’d like to see Kael’thas escape from Dalaran and the founding of Durotar in CoT!

Correct me if I am wrong, but there were dark trolls, settling underground near well of eternity. Thanks to magic powers of well of eternity they started to change over time, it sharpens their inteligence as well as spiritual needs. They started to worship new deity - Elune and start calling themselves Kaldorei.

The problem with prequels is you know how the story eventually ends.

The other day I was watching the Rings of Power and was thinking… well I know you don’t die!

The only way i can see a WoW2 is if they do a GW2 major time skip in the future, but I can’t see that. Shadowlands with the mini time skip and re-origination attempt that was the best way they could have introduced one. We’ve still got the Void Lords to go. When we get to those there really is no more big bad left.

Well… First Ones?

That is a timehop I would love.

Although we would juuust need Chromie to put on a disguise for us so we all looked like Nelves. Easily done as a lore tidbit though, no need to actually change anything.

You are not wrong
Moontear is just an evolution denier :unamused:

… and then … we will need to take out Blizzard itself !

It cant be better then killing boars in the Barrens, thats the true Kalimdor experience.

yeah wrong. Trolls not related to nelves. Yes “nocturnal” creatures but not dark trolls were around the well. Also Elune created by her image the night elves.

I think you need to re-read the lore brother.

Around 15,000 years ago a tribe of dark trolls unconcerned by the battles for land and power and longing for a peaceful connection to the world, came to settle near the translucent waters of the Well of Eternity, the prime source of all magic on the planet. Over time, the Well’s cosmic power affected this nocturnal and independent tribe, suffusing their flesh and bones, elevating their forms to match their graceful spirits. They transformed into highly intelligent and virtually immortal beings. Their skin turned various shades of violet, and they grew stronger and taller in stature. The tribe gradually abandoned their ancient heritage and tradition. The mystics began worshiping the moon goddess Elune, who they believed slumbered within the fount’s depth during daylight hours. The former trolls also discovered the name “Kalimdor” and other titan-forged words from communing with Elune and investigating strange artifacts scattered around the Well’s periphery. They adopted the name kaldorei, which meant “children of the stars” in their native tongue

Would be nice, but the current writers are totally uninterested in old WoW lore and races, they’d rather make up another 2 or 3 new ones ending with -thyr.
