All these threads complaining about people being able to get something others already have because it will ruin their sense of being in a prestigious club.
Even though the Long Boi folk have is exactly the same now as last month. Does exactly the same things. Is worth exactly the same (zero, you can’t sell it). The fact that some other have it means their unigue snowflake specialness is somehow less special only because others can share in the unique snowflake specialness.
There’d be the same outcry if Mage Tower appearance came back. The 4769 threads about the mount in the store shows this.
Never say never with Blizz, especially with the Brutosaurus mount… wouldn’t put it past them making them available off their online store at this point.
Hell, there’s a [Flying] Swift Spectral Tiger being sold in China for €250 off its store… sure it’s NetEase, but Blizz are equally as greedy.
What always bemuses me is that some people still have this idea that Blizzard love them and would/should never do x, y or z to the player base. When in reality Blizzard do not care about players other than the income/profits they generate, they are a business like any other and the sole purpose is to be profitable. I have said this before, but Blizzard only change direction when they lose a large chunk of the player base (lost profits) aka Shadowlands!!
Yes I can see Blizzard doing this in the future or some other so called ‘prestigious’ mount/item.
It’s almost the end of October so 2 months in to TWW, I would guess their quarterly returns so far were not meeting expectations/predicted targets, the new Brutosaur will sort that out for them, a huge influx of cash and something they can do again when needed
Blizzard will ALWAYS do this if they think it’s necessary, because profit comes first. I think a lot of players would save themselves some heartache if they realised this.
Just add all mage tower apperance to the ingame store, so we can pay to get them. No need to spend quality time wiping in the mage tower. Its a win/win for us and Blizzard.
