And to noones surprise here is the REAL reason why they are dumbing down the game

So, on what controller button will YOU bind your 2 spell damage rotation?

Maybe like 8 years ago, my appendix burst and I was on sick leave for like 6 weeks. At my mums with a crap laptop and an xbox controller, I completed Skyrim and then wanted something to do…so I levelled characters in WoW using an XBox controller and xpadder. Binding Ctrl, alt and shift to the triggers and using ABXY, the d pad, start and select and the last remaining trigger I had like 9x4+2 keybinds available (so like 40ish) – all pretty usable.

Arena is probably difficult but I reckon most of WoW right now is playable with a controller if you bind it like I did.

I must admit thats the first time where the crazy conspiracy people were right - never did i believe that they will do it.

They could add wow to the gamepass - would at least bring in new players.

Even if you had AI playing the game for you, you would still be a 1.9k mmr placements rollover player

Already can, but it wouldn’t be the PvP forums if people weren’t hysterically throwing their toys out of their pram over something. What else would they do with their day?

Have you actually read the article or did you read a headline and make a post?

She did this.

It’s a clickbaity headline.

Hah exactly my thoughts :joy:

Jokes aside, sad that PC has to suffer for it.

I mean as PvE player you probably can even raid with Gamepad. Imagine playing Warlock in raids. You don’t even bind Fear. You put rotation buttons on normal buttons. Then CDs on bumper modifiers.

And try explaining this to ppl that dont PvP, they are like “no but game is already just 2 buttons” yeah maybe for them that dont play PvP :joy:

It’s sickening my classes become worse so its easier for console. Mage looks worst to me so far, sickens to lose even shifting power.

Even warrior is choosing between die by the sword and ignore pain is so bad, everything is likely just made with PVE first and good luck everybody else :joy:

I managed to setup WoW on my Steam Deck, runs very well and its totaly playable on controler.

This is my review there:

Specs with alot of button on consoles = good for questing, and easy content

Specs with few buttons = totaly playable even on competitive level

Major backdraw of consle play is social aspect, it coud damage WoW, dont expect console player to discus tactic on chat, or to talk much in chat, this part is most sloppy for consoles. So expect console players to be silent fishes.

Well that just made me think that how many dh example I had in shuffles playing on steam deck as that would explain many things what I’ve been wondering, they just do their own thing pretty much even if theres lock with portals on other side trying play defensive vs mm but the dh already formula 1:ned other side of the arena and the lock is left deal with something like uhdk alone and the vw disc there likely also on same device as the dh then also abandon the lock to fend for himself, god I cant wait seeing shuffle gameplay in midnight it will be so much worse I bet :joy:

You mean silent on chat?
It coud be also fact that half of PvP community at some point ate automated chat ban while playing SS, ban is carried if they said basicly anything tere. I got baned once for 7 days just for writing single word OMGX

About DH, they are totaly playable with controler, there is even addons which rearrange UI for controlers to look more like action game than WoW, but it works on specs with few buttons.

Yeah, some ppl in shuffle just do complete own thing regardless anything what they have in team, its like they playing solo in 3v3. The description of to not suspect much discuss any strat just made me think of it :joy:

Its very hard to type on consoles, For steam deck example, you must bind key to open chat (usualy your enter bind), than open steam deck keyboard overlay, than you can type. And this same overlay covers your chat window, than you must type on blind.

If you opt out to make your steam deck to play WoW, consider 2-3 hours of setup, from UI to settings to find smooth at last 50 FPS. But once its done it work fine, besides chat, its always sloppy on consoles.

The future is shuffle gaming with vw discs, dhs and fury warriors with controller, thats it folks last one out turns off the lights

If I remember right, there was a feral player during DF who could only play on controler because of a injury and he got to legends with it multiple times.

If you want to check him out : KakarotHS on reddit, where he explains how

Well thats from necessity…. /respect

As I said, evry spec which is not bloated by buttons work well on controler… you just need to spend alot of time to configure all stuff properly, I woud dare to say that in some situations you are even more quicker than with keyboard, while rotation of camera coud be a bit drawback.

To be fair I have nothing against it. There is even an option to connect mouse and keyboard to consoles. If it means more players = more PvPers. What’s wrong? It’s obvious you cannot PvP playing on pad because of target macros. You will have a huge handicap but raiding? I cannot see the problem.

Also imo removal of addons will actually make the game better because nowadays everyone has 10 addons helping him play. In the past we all made more mistakes so the game could be slower. Nowadays everything has to hit like a track to even make people die.

At the same time. There are too many modifiers. New players hit the wall. Also more modfiers doesn’t equal more complex game. If rotations are so developed players only focus on maximalizing damage as it’s the easiest way to diff the opponent. Simplifying rotations means other aspects of the game will be more important like Kicking, CC, overall awarness. I feel it’s actually good.

And less waiting in queues for 20+ minutes just to play a single game.

But don’t talk too much sense, the forum posters might get upset.
