Hello everyone, I’m not sure where to post this so forgive me if it’s at the wrong spot. I’ve been trying to finish the quest [Andu-falah-dor] but the cinematic shows Merithra as a blue box. I can hand the quest in after the cinematic but I was trying to get a nice recording of the cutscene before I did so. After browsing the US forums I read that many people have been encountering this problem as early as the start of December but with no word on what causes it.
My partner has the same problem where the cutscene loads up after a big delay but Merithra is missing, leaving Ysera speaking to a little blue box. On the other hand, my guildie also attempted the quest and for him it worked just fine and Merithra loaded.
This caused me to try a myriad of things. I listed them below here:
- Rename Cache, Interface, WTF folders.
- Delete all addons
- Delete and re-install curseforge and overwolf
- Change graphics settings (such as from DX12 to DX11)
- Scan and repair the game.
- Abandon the quest and re-accept it.
- Attempt to play cinematic after taking the Emerald Dream portal.
- Attempt to play cinematic after flying manually to Amirdrassil.
None of these actions helped solve the problem. Did anyone else have the same thing? If so, were you able to fix it and how?
