Anima and trial characters

So with you being able now to buy renown 40 and sending anima to your characters, I realised you can for 2k gold get 4k anima combined from the covenants, and send it.

I realised you can also do it on a trial character, so you can for 16k gold send 32k anima a week, since i think its 8 trial characters a week you can make. Just gotta do it fast, before the character is locked and you cant play it unless you boost it.

My question is then, is it a exploit or not, since im not sure if Blizzard intented it to be used that way?

What? :face_with_monocle:

At 40 renown you get 1k anima from 4 items you would get through the renown “tree” if you did it the normal way, but for 500g you can skip straight to renown 40 and get the 4 items (1k) anima then. Do it for a covenant, then switch covenant and do it again until you done it for all 4 of them

Trial character are not able to trade with others, not sure if you can send mail.

You can send it as mail to whoever needs it of your characters. Thats why im not sure if its okay by Blizzard or not and would like to know

Are you sure? Trial character is not on your main account, and those tokens are account bound.

how can you do it on a trial character when a trial can’t even go to shadowlands to pick a covenant?

You can make a trial character on your main one. It exists to let you play around with a class for 3 hours (then you have to pay for a boost or delete it).
With boost going to level 60, I imagine trials will too.

Im 100% sure, I just tested it once and send 4k to my main from a trial character, but wouldnt do it more, if its seen as a exploit.

Aha, the class trial not the trial account. Ok i see.

You can still have a trial account linked to your main one. It just has to be on the same bnet email.

Trial characters are lvl 50 now, I think they might have changed it with 9.1.5, since it was lvl 48 they were before if i remember. I just did it, and since you can now skip the maw and choose threads of fate and pick a covenant, you can do it. But you gotta be fast, since after I arrived at the Night Fae base tree, game said my character would be locked in 5 min and I gotta pay a boost to unlock it.

Well, blue should clarify this.

If it’s not an exploit to send from an army of alts, it’s not an exploit to send from trial characters either. It’s not like Anima is used for anything to boost your power, so who cares if you get 32k a week? I mean, that’s not even much. My weekly Anima income used to be around 40k when I was doing Korthia daily, and it wasn’t even much effort (and I made plenty of gold while doing so on top, rather than spending it).

So knock yourself out?

why waste gold for anima…yikes

Gotta agree with the last few comments, its a clever use of mechanics but I cant see people rush head over heels to do it.

Yeah I might overthink it, I just aint sure since I think Blizzard wanted us to farm it for a long time.

And Vektron if you play a bit on the AH and do some callings you got the gold back fast again, and can save weeks if not months of anima farming for gold.

Or you can do a daily Korthia round, get more anima, a bunch of gold, and a whole lot of rep and research on top! Without having to think about whether it’s intended or not, without logging onto a gazillion characters.

But this is where im thinking “Why not both?” :eyes:
I still do my Korthia dailies with the rare farm etc, but the trial character thing takes like 5-10 min pr character, and since you can only do it 8 times a week (i think) its not a super long time spent for 32k anima.

Knock yourself out. 32k anima is still not much, and you’ll eventually run out of things to spend it on.

Myself, I just do my regular stuff, and still get ~15k+ anima a week, without doing Korthia apart from Shaping Fate, on a single character. Apart from spending it on leveling followers on new alts, there’s nothing to spend it on, and I found that leveling the followers to 30 doesn’t net me much, because by the time I progress the table campaign far enough to unlock the gold missions I want, my followers will be 30 anyway.
