Servers are filled with plenty layers.
Problem is Gold selling/buying not being addressed.
But tbh it’s been the same thing throughout this whole classic experience.
Botters being clear as day and reporting not working even remotely enough to counter it. Also the reporting feature is being abused by mafias and botters.
Paying customers should not have to deal with this by manually reporting…

To add to this:
The AH is riddled with bots, currently there’s 4-5 AH-bots active (high BO 1 copper bid in several varieties)
Trade channel spam:
- WTS boost
- X guild is recruiting
- announcements of raids and looking to fill their raid
- lfg stuff for dungs
- literally tons of enchanters with their wall of text auto-invite spams
The spam on trade multiplies as soon as someone else is advertising, why won’t they use service channel, guildrecruitment and lfg channel is a mystery to me but unless you start to either report for spam or ignore them, the trade channel is pretty unreadable.
The enchanter part, i started ignoring them but meh, 50 ignores limit, wtf is that still limited to 50?

Maybe you picked the wrong server or faction?
Seem to remember that there are addon to increase the number.

No matter how much I report. The same names keep popping up daily. I only report them because it makes their annoying ads go away. I doubt the reports are even read. So many bots around ravenhill graveyard. If a GM went there for one hour they would catrch about 30 frost mage bots. It is so hard to get a group because everyone has been boosted through the dungeons.
I wish i could make a horde and spend all day ganking these fools but old skool PVP realm won’t let me play both faction on shatterspine.

Yes in the old days there was an addon called “Ignoremore” i don’t think it’s maintained anymore. Now there’s Badboy that has that ability.

This is just sad to read, no real point in playing official vanilla now tbh
If one wants a true classic experience, isn’t with ActiBlizz. I visited recently Dalaran-wow (cuz, lets be honest, there’s no way to go back to WotLK) and i have been enjoying it so far. The only problem is that by now the population is… kinda low.
If there was a wotlk exclusive server on the current classic lineup, i would consider it though. But realistically Activison will just rehash every expansion without way to go back. And certainly will repeat it when eventually a Cata Hardcore/Cata anniversary gets released.

Yes, the purpose of the Anniversary servers should be to give us another Era option, be it TBC or Wrath, or preferably both, for those who like the old trilogy.

Have too much to do. Playing of more than one character. Ranking, raiding, farming gold, doing instances to help guildied and get some extra gold.
If I didn’t have a family life too, I could easily have spent every minute of my time in classic wow. It’s really a lot to do.
I foresaw the situation about a month ago, although it seemed that not everything was so bad, but partly because of the hardcore DDoS, the release of competitive games, partly because the game masters stopped banning bots and the snowball effect led to a rapid economic and online decline.
The solution was also proposed - A NEW FRESH SERVER, WITHOUT CHANGES, BUT WITH AN IN-GAME ACHIEVEMENTS SYSTEM (like on Lich King, but edited for vanilla).
They are in panic mode releasing phase 4 already with T0.5 questline… 20 years and they still not get it whats wrong with Vanilla. Company is totally finished with all their games aswell. Can’t wait TBC and mount drama again with some other MTX addition due to lack of players. Failboat is real.

u mean the last tbc server that existed 14 years ago that lasted for a year, and only then lasted as long because it was hosted by THE arena tournament devs?
