So just curious about people opinion, not looking for the definite answer.
Wow player since 2008 aprox, first time in the official server, as I was a casual player every now and then. Playing druid and hunter, my most played expac was Wotlk with my coleric druid, but now Im more focused on pve and enjoy professions.
I have levelled up 3 chars to 80 - WW Monk, Enh Sham, Ret Pala, as I did not want to repeat with the druid, but still figuring out which one I want to main. I’m enjoying monk and shaman more than the pala; and the monk has better sustain for solo delves, which makes it quite more enjoyable and not so easy to die.
I have them all around 630-640 ilvl, and I’m trying to learn all new things on retail, which are a lot. On Silvermoon alliance btw.
Ww if your looking for a fast paced kung-fu style with minimal contribution to a bigger party. A fun class nonetheless.
Ret if you want to be like the highest % of the playerbase - but nothing wrong with that. A versatile class that has alot of support friendly abilitys and spells.
Enhance on the other hand… clunky, loads of spells that needs to be bound, so if your not comfortable with 25+ keybinds this might not be for you. But if you want a challenge, go for it.
The description of all the classes would be you using their full potential, that means kicks, dispells, defenses, utility, burst, combos etc.
All are good enough for the content you will find yourself in. From easiest to harder it would be retri first, then monk, then shaman. BUT a good retri is handling everything in your arsenal which isnt something 98% of all the retris do
did my mage, paladin, hunter, deathknight and demon hunter.
I was thinking of doing my Warrior next but dunno I lose interest once the solo content I have access too runs dry.
Not much I can really do apart from 3 delves a week at tier 11 and then…nothing else.

Dont blame me, I’ve always been a clicker, just decided trying new keybinds like a month ago, so maybe enh is not my thing, even though is enjoyable at my skill lvl with 7-8 keybinds and a bit of clicking
I’ve always liked Warlocks tho. Just never got to play one. Played frost mage in MoP and enjoyed it, so i’m not locked in to melee classes. How do they go through solo content? If my shaman every now and then dies, my first thought is that a cloth warlock without heals will die even more often.

Thats the thing, I usually play solo and dont want to get bored of the same 3 things always. Ive been playing a couple months and still havent figured out how to get on a M+ for example, so I do delves until tier8, LFD, LFR, professions and world stuff. Might give a try to PvP.
All i do on lock is pvp, so I couldnt tell you. Might dabble it to 3k m+ rating next season instead of tank/healer but we will see. But I imagine since you got a tank-pet it could and should be a breeze.
If you do click its not an issue nowadays, id say you could try the one button rotation assist and learn the class by using utility and other stuff first and keep the auto on a keybind comfortable for you.
But for solo content the kings are and will always be Rets and Beastmasters.
Idk anything about those.
I play holy priest and i started an outlaw rogue because i read that it had a lot of buttons.
turns out the rogue does not have a lot of buttons.
I gather and PvP with the priest. And sometimes quest, delve or dungeon. But dungeon sucks, so I rarely do that. It’s super easy and doesn’t get me anywhere. Delves are slow. And quests are this mindless slog, which I don’t need because I got gathering.
All in all: WoW 6/10 best mmo 2025, gz.
Shaman, cause you have earthshock which is the elite interrupt.
Paladin, cause you can heal and tank forever. Also ret got aoe, i think.
Monk idk.
Don’t play those. And don’t play outlaw rogue. Only play priest. Wear a dress, like a real man.
My vote is for monk.
Its just super fun, looks awesome, has cool abilities like storm earth and fire as well zen flight.
Fantastic mobility, an airdash.
Great for aoe and single target. Great for running old content.
But im naturally pretty biased here
A couple of years back I spent a few weeks stressing on what to main. I landed on monk and have not regretted it. I should have done it years ago.
It’s always interesting to read people’s opinion on these!
I have decided I’ll stick to the WW monk for now, might even try MW or BM later on, I used to be heal but retail is a bit overwhelming so will stick to DPS. And as a second choice I’ll get my shaman back to elemental so it’s a different type of gameplay (caster-melee).
