Another PvP-Invisible Change? Shattering Throw Instant in PvE Only?

So I just found out that Shattering Throw is now instant-cast — but only inside PvE instances.
Meanwhile, in the open world and PvP, it still has a cast time.

I’m sorry, but why are these QoL changes only being applied for PvE convenience — while PvP players are left with the clunkier, less responsive versions of the same abilities?

This reminds me of the Charge change we’ve already been talking about — removing the minimum range supposedly for PvE purposes, but that ended up actively hurting PvP gameplay, especially in world PvP and duels or World PVP zones.

So let me get this straight:

  • PvE players get an instant Shattering Throw to help burst down shields faster.
  • PvE players get Charge with no range limit so they can spam it on big bosses without repositioning.
  • PvP players? We get ruined macros, wasted charges, and all of that with zero communication from Blizzard about any of it.

If you’re able to toggle changes based on environment (PvE vs PvP instance), why not dont you apply these PVE changes only for PVE instances tho!?
Every single one of these changes is being made at the expense of PvP — and it’s beyond frustrating.

I’m actually feeling to quit MOP before I reach max lvl… great job blizzard. Once again!

So, you’re playing one of the most OP zugzug classes in pvp, and you’re crying about shattering throw ? … o.0

With EVERYTHING warrior has … i think shattering throw cast time in pvp is at the very bottom of any greivance list :-/

Tell you what, you can have instant cast shattering throw if you give up having shockwave as arms xD

You completely missed the point.

I’m not crying for an instant Shattering Throw — I couldn’t care less about having it in PvP.
What I am pointing out is the inconsistency: Blizzard clearly has the ability to make changes that apply only in PvE (like instant Shattering Throw), so why didn’t they do the same with Charge?

The Charge update — removing the minimum range — was supposedly for PvE convenience, yet it affects all content, and ends up breaking PvP, especially:

  • Hamstring macros (you waste charges unintentionally)
  • World PvP scenarios
  • Duels and gap-closing control

The issue isn’t “waaah I want my shiny buff,” it’s that these unlisted, uncommunicated changes are actively hurting PvP gameplay, and they could’ve easily scoped them to PvE just like they did with Shattering Throw.

So yeah, maybe take a second look before throwing out the “stop crying, your class is strong” take — because that’s not what this is about.
