Ansurek - story mode

Greetings, Forum-dwellers,

I don’t usually create topics, but I wanted to stop for a moment at this time, to appreciate the Ansurek story mode. As someone who does not raid anymore but still interested in the story itself, thank you, Blizzard, for this opportunity.

I would have even be happy with the cutscene itself, without the fight as well, for example, if an NPC told me: “Have you heard that the special forces of the Alliance and the Horde have defeated Ansurek? Let me tell you what happened!” And, then playing the cutscene.

But either way, I’m happy that I could watch this cutscene inside the game instead of having to watch it on YouTube.

What is story mode?

After you get the quest to kill Queen Ansurek, there is an NPC you can talk to to do it in a raid full of NPCs. Don’t need any other players, don’t need to wait for LFR to unlock, probably couldn’t wipe even if you tried, etc.

You get the quest completion and the cutscene, but the queen doesn’t drop anything.

Ooh don’t think I’ve got that one

The story mode is basically a follower raid, just last boss only, very easy, and the boss does not drop anything, you just get the cutscene of the story and some rewards from the quest itself.

I found the quest a few days ago.

You can find the guide here:

The quest reward that lets you craft a piece of 619 gear is a great reason to do the story mode.

Not really. The prices for the mats are ridiculous. It is ridiculously expensive to craft it.

Just wait a bit and you get it from somewhere else for free eventually.

Normal people gather their own mats.

turn warmode on, fish/mine/herb while in queues or while waiting on your dinner to cook or watching a show or whatever. loot war crates for vicious bloodstones and algari competitors patterns. sell those + the fish/herb/ores and you’ll make 30k-50k after about 1-2hrs of casual farming while doing other things.

they put gold on the floor outside in the world you just have to go and loot it. fish some kaheti slum sharks and its 2,000g per school. bismuth if you get rank 3 ore can be 800g per node. not sure for herbalism but i imagine it isn’t terrible either.
