The Cleft of Shadow [H/A] is now recruiting! Our guild is a cross-faction community founded on the basis of being antagonistic Burning Legion loyalists, as part of the Shadow Council. Our Horde side fills the niche of the Burning Blade Cult and remnants of the Old Horde, whereas our Alliance side leans into aspects of the Syndicate and Argus Wake.
Your character should be fully on board with supporting the ideals of the Shadow Council and have no fear of performing evil acts for the Dark Lord’s cause.
We host DM-led events focused on artifact collection, demon hunting, aiding the Burning Legion’s remnants, and various other guild-related plot points.
How we differ from other guilds:
In-character, this guild functions as a cult. The characters that join may not be stereotypical cultists—they might even just be muscle—but everyone, regardless of their background, is considered a cultist.
This means loyalty and discipline can be fickle, allowing cultists to perform evil acts against both enemies and fellow cultists (if they have failed, been framed, etc.), while others might just seek to enforce discipline or seek to earn influence that way. This double-edged sword is something we embrace in the guild; while objectives given by officers must be achieved, members have free rein in how they interact with others—whether by framing someone who has wronged them or claiming sole credit for a mission’s success. This is something that we judge through the lenses of the current narrative of the guild, circumstances, character backgrounds and so on.
If you’re discovered doing something you shouldn’t, you should welcome the justice the Coven may deliver, as it will only add depth to the RP and start new future plots. Can I still join if I just want to be a loyal soldier who does their best for the Coven?
Yes! Some of our guild members already are! We have ranks and roles to suit your character, and if not, the officers can help create something that fits as long as your character aligns with our theme.

If a future race with a demonic or Legion background is added, they will always be welcome to join.
