Antisocial Alliance

Having played both factions since 2006, I have noticed one thing that differentiates the Horde from the Alliance…

Doing grouped content with the Horde is much more fun than doing the same on the Alliance side.
The typical Horde player (discounting the HORDES of sweaty minmaxers) is a 30ish year old guy/girl with his social life in order.
There’s banter, there are deep-talks, lots or companionship and togetherness, and most importantly, a lot of fun. Just an overall wholesome and social bunch.

Having played Alliance more than your usual “Horde guy”, it has always felt like the Alliance counterpart is anything but social and fun. Some are, but most have turned out to be a bunch of antisocial, narcissistic kids (16-24) with a totally weak mentality. They just give up straight away when things don’t go their way and resort to vomiting out bitter and self-pitying nonsense. In that case, I enjoyed things more when you said absolutely nothing.

Now, I know there are exceptions to the rule. But this has been the general experience of mine (and others, mind you). Both back in the old days of wow and current.
And since it was like this back in the day also, you can’t blame the fact that there are a bit more Horde players today, because back then, the Horde was the minority by quite a margin. And yet, the story was the same.

Why do you think the Alliance tend to be antisocial kids that are triggered by the slightest of conveniences?

You are right in many ways, but it is a smaller and destroyed population. The Conservatives join the guild and don’t want anything to do with the rest. But population imbalance lacks diversity.

A post that depicts alliance as antisocial amidst all the current drama. That’s a bold move Cotton.

Berny approves of your research.

It is quite simple. When you played Alliance long ago you were antisocial teen back on original classic days. Now you are 30-ish it has been long since you change your faction and people around seem welcoming, because they are your friend cycle and guild you are probably referring too.
The biggest surprise here is that people are actually the same. We only demonising opposition. I can tell it because was playing both Factions over 10y of WoW.
11m on Horde in 2009 in Wrath and 5m as raiding Orc BDK alt, while I was maining Alliance pandaren prot warrior in MoP.

I heard the same opinion from those who rerolled horde on our server during classic. Also I watch different twitch streams and see raids/premades from both sides, and it fits your post.

Here are some personal (!) observation (!) I had:

The difference between Alliance casuals and tryhards is much bigger than in Horde.

Average Alliance tryhard guild is more organized and sweaty than the average Horde one.
Average Alliance group is elite+followers, while Horde is every man for himself.

I guess that comes from bgs (short q times, you are effective only in premades) and paladins (you need some organization for them to shine in pvp).

What a nonsense post. Some 12 year old telling us how horde players are all 30 year olds.

You call UD rogues who camp low level players a person with their social life in order? Give me a break. Horde is literally the edgy kid faction.

I can smell the triggered

And ally for sure isn’t the edgy kid One ,when they lose cause lack of Skill and Just crying and saying “i lose because i get destroyed by premade Horde and their OP racials”

Since Horde has to wait longer in bg queue, they are obviously more organized comparing to Alliance’s insta bg queue.

Also, WoTF and Orc’s stun resist are OP. No question there. I’d be happy if everyone would lose their racial in PvP. I can sacrifice my Stoneform and Chastise for it.

More organized? It s so hard for Ally to get an arena partner ? And if yes you should ask at Yourself this : “Ally should not be less elitism thing?” With their "i only invite people with an rating of 1500 and more "

I know that You Ally Just make premade with people that have some rating . And that’s the problem why you cannot make easily some premade

You are missing the most crucial thing though. You may be right about Alliance’s current situation and maybe even on your comments but the problem with Alliance is not excatly that since there aren’t that many people playing it which prevents us from making a healthy deduction and commentary.
