I am looking for WOW related forums that are active with good subjects to discuss.
Reddit is there but it is filled with meme and karma farmers, the discussion there are often single sided and you cannot write anything against the herds.
WOW forums is similar to reddit. You often get called reported and mass flagged if you express the unpopular opinion. Also the mod(s) here are in good relations with those who derails the topics.
I would highly welcome your alternatives to these forums.
MMO-Champion has decent discussions, just be wary of infraction trigger happy mod [Alucard] should you make a joke… he’s like a Puritan with all things WoW. 
The various community discords or sub reddits others than r/wow may be better than the forums but not fundamentally different.
You’ll trade a mostly single minded community for another one, altho this time it may be compatible with your own bias…
Don’t think you’ll find a decent alternative which would be both active and have interesting discussions. There are sometimes some really interesting posts on both the main Reddit and these forums but most of the time it’s nothing but angry rants…

This happens here on this forum aswel and more often then you think I just avoid those kind of threads due to preserving my mental health.
Oh yeah I was also thinking about the EU & US forums when i said “the main reddit AND these forums”
We yes it makes sense but Danke for clearing it up but yes i share your thoughts on this matter.
ye that one is decent. I remember RIPiP and Spitfire from MOP times there. At least it doesn’t have this enforced political correctness on just about everything.
The biggest advantage is that it’s anonymous, so its never ‘ha you dont hjave have X achivement’
