Just looking for a class/spec that would be able to consistently counter a DH. I’m assuming a melee class since kiting a DH isnt really possible?
Only rogues but even they are not a hard counter.

Only rogue/x and destro/x compositions, even if the Dh can win against them.
Maybe a DK if you play high dampening like Cervantes.
Other way, if you lose against other comps as demon hunter. That means your healer is bad or the demon hunter hiself doesn’t know what he does.
That’s my personal experience as dh.
rogue+disc works kinda well, destro+rdruid wins against dh+rdruid as far as I know but it gets eaten by rsham+dh
I have a very easy time countering DHs with feral druid.

you mean in a 1v1 by running away 2mins till meta is down?
otherwise there is no way you outdmg a dh in metaform. They just heal through thorns as well if they are so stupid to attack thorns
That’s how you play feral in 1v1, yes.
Feral has the perfect toolkit to consistently beat a DH in 1v1
Guardian dru, protopala, bdk (before nerfs, now I’m not certain) and retri pala. Of course, that`s about 1-1 situations.
Dh and rog and destro can
A more geared DH. That’ll be a very consistent method if you’re a mythic raider.

Had a friend that didn’t know you could rift off of incap as well.
Can’t counter that which is broken. DH is now not officially a class in the game and anyone who plays it is invalid. Until Blizzard does something about it.
