Any ideas why renown was so low?

I’m getting 4 characters up to renown 80 so they can share covenant transmogs. My alliance hunter has done all the campaigns so was 80 already, my horde hunter was at 77 (now 80), my shaman is at 77 (might be 76) and this warlock was only at 58 (she’s higher now I’m catching her up) .

Why would this be? The only thing I can think of is she didn’t level via threads of fate (I can’t remember, but I know my paladin did the whole thing, so it’s not beyond the realm of possibility I just levelled her through as normal.). Would there be any other reason for such a big difference? She got a load if renown doing the covenant campaign.

Well Threads of Fate is faster Renown, as you join a Covenant, buy the 60 Renown and then get the rest from bonus objectives.

Otherwise I have no idea, no one knows better than you, what you did on that character differently than on the others.

Did you do any bonus objectives on your Horde hunter and shaman? Bonus objectives on the map give you a reknown each when doing it.

Also dungeons give an additional reknown per clear as well.

Same if you did a torghast run during leveling, which also gives you reknown.

Early in SL renown was at lower levels. 40 was max for a while, so when you finished the covenant campaign initially this was where you were.
So if this char hasn’t done much since early doors then you’d have lower renown. Content like Korthia and Zereth Mortis will give you a bunch but if you didn’t want to do all that on alts there was the catch up items. Seeing as you’re at 58 and it gives you 60 doesn’t seem worth it though.

Why not buy the heirloom thing to start at 60? Done 3 to 80 on one hunter and the last when leveling a new hunter.

This could be it. I can’t remember what I did on this character, but I’m guessing it was a fairly early one, I think I did my alliance hunter, paladin then this one and had a longish break before the shaman and horde hunter with a Druid in between who is chilling in the heart of the forest now she’s 60.

I got her to renown 80… only to find she’s the only clothy, so I had the harvesters garb but not her covenant armor unlocked (everyone else is mail). So I grabbed this forgotten hunter, switched her to venthyr (she was necrolord but only had 1 renown) and I’ve started dragging her up to renown 80. She’s 30 something at the moment so a ways to go. I’m just glad she was languishing in oribos at 60 and I’d forgotten about her (she’s on a different server than the others but they’re grouped together now).

You can buy the item (500g) in Oribos that makes you Renown 60, which is a good head-start. It gives you 1000 anima too. Sold by NPC next to Flight Master. You can swap to all four covenants and use one of these each time.

I wish I’d seen this, she’s up to 80 the old-fashioned way, didn’t take long with the catch up mechanic, but it was super boring! I’ll, have to remember this if I decide to do anyone else!
