Any recently converted pve player here?

I had many friends quit pve for pvp this expansion because of solo queue and dragonflight story not being so good.

I was wondering if we have any here on the forums aswell.

I know few who tried. They were fed up with raids and don’t enjoy M+ anymore. I quote them “It’s not that PvP is that good but PvE is that bad atm”.

It’s a bit hard to convert from one to the other.

There’s just the genuine fulfilment feeling of winning in PvP which PvE can never replace. At the end of the day, does somebody need that much skill to repeatedly do the same scripted thing over and over?

At least in PvP you can never be too sure what is going to happen, because other players can be unpredictable, whether that makes them win or lose is a different story.

DF PvP has not been that bad overall, excluding season starts and the Ret patch. Even though some specs are clearly lackluster and others are clearly overperforming, generally the second half of Season 2 was pretty decent to be playing nearly any spec or comp. I guess a lot of frustration comes from some specs requiring you to clench your cheeks and make 0 mistakes to win and others requiring you to have the W key working on the keyboard. Devs just need to respond quicker for the correct things when balancing. Previous years of paranoia and complaints have made them hard focus on quickly nerfing some specs while leaving others untouched.

Based on that I expect them to gut Demon hunters quickly and pretend that Rogues are fine for half a year. I can just hear the “skill issue” talks in the Developer office when they’ve went through thousands of complaints about Rogues instakilling people or Arms warriors basically winning games for free.

Maybe even some random Destruction warlock nerf, because hey, BFA warlocks, am I right?

i ran my own guild i was the GM… it was a mythic raiding guild we got realm rank 6 for 3 expacs on my server
( top 10 )

i quit at end of SL to pick up PvP casually as i was burnt out with the guild drama and High end guilds poaching good players
it was a constant 2nd job

i cant explain to you the headache of the top end raiding,
i would never go back to that routine , it was unhealthy

PvP content is way more chill, i can have months off and never be in a rush, content never dries out either

i recently copied your blood dk talents to try to push blood dk in arena
i dunno how you do it so well, i was doing nothing

I used to play blood dk when it was still a dps spec, comes naturally.

And it’s never easy playing F tier spec at ratings most people can’t even play their S+ tier specs
So don’t overthink it too much, play and learn.

i miss Hysteria spell
i too am a vanilla dk

but i think im mastery built instead of haste

Blood needs some haste, but it’s not as important as you think i run some heavy mastery too.

Yes, I used to be a PvP player, and I became a PvE Player midseason last season.

Nope.

I stopped pvping way back and came back to it now in DF and in season 3 I’m just gonna get the elite set and then I’m gone from pvp again. It’s awful. tbc/wotlk pvp > this clownfiesta any day.

Now it’s like every class is RMP on its own with all the CC in the game.

The weapon illusion made me try PvP for the first time. Made it to 21 hundo Monday, so it was frustratingly close and didn’t look like I’d succeed. I’ll probably play a bit in season 3 but it’s going to be nice not having a specific goal.
