Any setting to reduce glow and glossyness in retail?

Hi,

Is there any setting or addon that is able to reduce that eye fatiguing glow, glossyness and smoothness in retail wow? Reason being: Eye fatigue. For someone with fatiguing health issues, it doesn’t help.

I have tried brightness, contrast, gamma, even other settings and nothing seems to be able to reduce that overly glow and glossyness in retail. Everything is just so damm glossy and glowy. I have tried nearly everything in the settings.

It really is fatiguing on the eyes after a long day. If we can reduce it to the amount of classic, that would be just right to reduce eye fatigue. I am able to watch classic a lot longer than retail, simply due to eye fatigue, even on a good day.

Any tips or advice?

What do yo mean glossiness and smoothness?

Makes little to no difference on my screen, but thanks for the tip.

Indeed it’s not a huge difference but it helps especially in combination with lower contrast.
I keep contrast at 45. It makes lows little bit lighter so you can to see better in caves and environments like that, and at the same time it squishes highs.

Also, your monitor settings are factor as well.
Have you tweaked those?

If your monitor has settings, i changed mine to a different mode that made things darker. It helped a lot (especially in legion with all them crystals). Sadly not an in game change though.
