As the title suggests, I’m new to playing warlock in pvp and just wondered if there were any useful tips / tricks or guides?
I’m currently messing around with all three specs but my real issue is when I run into melee - basically trying to learn the best way to counter, create space etc.
I’ve got pvp exp. on melee classes so not completely in the dark but playing caster really does feel like a completely different game. Currently, I’ve been playing a lot of Epic BGs to give me a bit of a buffer whilst I learn rotations but I’m also wondering what the best spec to learn lock pvp is?
Also, are there some hard counters to lock that I should be aware of?

save yourself the frustration and dont play caster, or roll a mage.
Go to the AH and buy 3 bloodstones for around 20k gold, then go to the honor gear vendor and buy a vicious jeweler setting for 5k honor and add a slot to your gear, preferably on an epic pvp item. Insert a cognitive bloodstone from the AH into it.
This will give you precognition, an effect that gives you 4 sec immunity to all CC and kicks when the opponents miss a kick. This could help with your problems against melee opponents and allow you to breathe a bit.
As for specs, I would go with affliction or destruction over demonology, simply because they are stronger and performing better on the bg ladder atm. The best aff lock is currently ranked 600 points higher at 3.2 cr than the best demo lock at 2.6.
