I think I finally noticed why I sometimes accidentally queue for the wrong type of dungeons. It’s not my mistake, but - no surprise - the game again.
I was queued for Timewalking as damage and the queue took too long. So all I did was open the LFD window, leave the queue, switch my role to healer and click on queuing again.
The queue popped instantly and I ended up having to leave a Dragonflight dungeon group right-away and having to wait 30 minutes before I can do it again.
In any case, this happens way too often. Something about the system makes it too obscure what exactly you are queuing for, especially if you trust the system and have developed routine habit.
It does change for some reason at some points. I was going to continue queuing after a dungeon on this, bring up the window and it’s set to dragonflight heroic dungeons instead of timewalking. If I hadn’t noticed that it changed from TW, I would have queued us right into heroic dungeons instead of TW.
Yeah, it definitely often does that between runs.
But this time I also distinctly remember choosing Timewalking and the tooltip in the queue listed the Legion dungeons.
Either it’s really another bug, which is perfectly possible, or it interfered at another point with my clear intention. Dunno, maybe spec switch or such during queue has an influence.
I think it might have been a visual bug. I remember doing a TW MoP dungeon almost two weeks ago and a Fury Warrior in the group was queued as a tank for that dungeon, while the actual tank (who I believe was a Prot Paladin) was queued as a DPS.
